billyvanderbilt maybe you should start your own fashion thread? and then you can moderate it.. ?
i think that this forum is great- just because it's a mix between every-day looks and going out looks-and that everyone looks different- and dares to show their every-day look.

Zarina - one of the most beautiful outfits I have seen in a while - love the stole and the dress - fabulous!!!!!

i don't think that you have to give good critics all the time, if anything, after your comment the members that post here can tell you their appreciations of others! a negative comment shouldn't be something bad.
chic wardrobe doesn't necessarily mean generic or not generic. if you don't find anything interesting maybe you haven't been paying attention to details. there is a lot of little things that can make a simple looking outfit interesting in a way.
and if not, you can always go to this forums where members show that they might not be entirely glad to wear what they are wearing (i have this feeling almost everyday!):

ps. thank you tangerine for the karma message!

I'm sorry, but someone's gotta say this:

This thread is consistently dissapointing. 90% of the people that post in here have generic, midwest style. If someone showed me these pictures out of the context of this forum, I would never guess that any of you were remotely interested in fashion.

Why is it that people love fashion, but can't translate that into a chic wardrobe? And don't say "money."

Can you show us an example with, I don't know, A PICTURE OF YOUR STYLE??? It's easy to criticize when you're not posting anything.

This is for you, billyvanderbilt, an exceptionally boring outfit.

You have already lost when you included vanderbilt in your name if you have nothing to do with this family.

Should I call myself BaguetteWaldorf? Or Baguette Guggenheim for real?

Oh, how desperate that would be.

WOW I haven't posted fo 2 days.

Friday, my friend's christmas party
100_4421.jpg

dress: I made and designed myself
shoes: Tony Bianco
Jacket: Lovelygirl

Yesterday: shopping an coffee with friend etc.
100_4500.jpg

Top: Valleygirl
Skirt: My own design and creation
Scarf: Some random brand
Bag: Guess
Cardi: MNG
I actually wore shoes but they were soaking wet because of the rain so I didn't bring them in for a picture. But they were Tony Bianco bi-colour flats.

HAHAHAHA that's hilarious.

oh and BILLY, pardon me but just because YOU don't think it's fashion doesn't mean it isn't. fashion is a way of expressing oneself and just because you don't approve doesn't mean it isn't "fashion." we all have the right to wear whatever we want. and frankly i don't care (and i'm sure others feel the same) if you don't approve.

P.S. and since you are new, i would like to point out that this thread belongs to the category "PERSONAL STYLE", not "THE BILLYVANDERBILT STYLE THREAD."

thanks
