what brand of make up are you using?

i've been using MAC & NARS and i'm thinking of trying out other brands like LAURA MERCIER or BOBBI BROWN, etc. etc. are these two brands good?

foundation i mix laura mercier and l'oreal together
primer is laura mercier
blush is shiseido
lip color/gloss is revlon
concealer is revlon
eyeliner is l'oreal and covergirl
mascara is l'oreal

i find laura mercier great, though its very thick and very heavy coverage, and i find it can look a bit cakey...so i mix it with l'oreal ideal balance in a darker shade and together they are PERFECT, both in color, texture and coverage

i havent tried bobbi brown but have heard good things....i have olive skin...lots of yellow undertones...and i hear her products are perfect for this skin type

LOVE laura mercier tinted moisturizer highly recommended. I use it every day and the SPF is really great.

Bobbi brown suits my skin during summer. The texture of make up is a bit dry so it's fine with my combination skin. I like their eyeshadows, stay perfect and lip gloss in vary colours are nice.

I use Mac and Chanel;I also have glosses by YSL and Lancaster and of course there's my Touche Eclat

I have about 4 different kinds of foundation because my skin changes from pale and dry in winter to oily and brown in summer with some variations inbetween . My foundation is Mac(Select sheer),Sisley,Chanel (Vitalumiere) and Chanel (double perfect cream to powder).
Bobbi Brown is indeed perfect for olive to light brown skin with yelow undertones and I LOVE her stuff,but it is not available in Holland.I stock up when I travel though...I have her shimmerbrick in beige,some eye pencils and some glosses.

i love mac though, and a new store just opened here, and i have a feeling i'll be spending a lot of 'time' there!

I am going through a "must spend all wages on Benefit crap that I dont really need".

I have brought in the last 2 days;

Benefit - High Beam
Benefit - Lipscription
Benefit - Jewels (Throw me a Vine)

Thats like £70 of make up. That is more than I normally spend in a few months.

I still have to get the Ooh La La, Hoola and Boo Boo Zap to complete my want list.

Stupid Benefit employees, they make me think live is not worth living without some product. They told me I HAVE to get Dr Feelgood Face Balm. I ask what does it do? The reply........... erm, er, makes ur skin feel nice?

I'm an Aussie; visited NY in December (going to live there in 2 years) and was blown away by Sephora. These huge stores totally devoted to makeup and beauty! I spent 3 1/2 hours in one store waiting for a lull in the rain so i could dash across the street to Macy's!

anyway, i wear a lot of MAC. Love the brights on the eyes, dahlink. The hyperreal foundation is amazing too. The purplish sheen on my dark skin makes people look twice, don't we all love that! Plus, the huge jewels in the SoHo store are adoreable! I wanna make one into a lamp and put it in my bedroom!
