Get some nice colour on your legs [if you don't have any], put on some nice strappy heels and go!    :woot:

Don't you think that skirt is a bit short to pair with heels?
 absolutely!!! [/b][/quote]
I don't think there is such a thing as too short for heels. Unless you're imagining her wearing hooker heels or fetish platforms...

Here's how I wear my jean skirt:

Outfit 1: fitted sweater, tights, knee high boots

Outfit 2: girly camisole, blazer or cardigan (the tweed Chanel-like shrunken jackets look great), with tights and pumps

Outfit 3: for when you go out at night a sexy tank top, strappy heels, clutch

Outfit 4: during the summer flat leather sandals, guazy/beaded/silk ect. tunics with bikini on underneath so your ready for the beach in a moments notice

That's a cute skirt by the way

Thanks ya'll i have so many cool ideas spinning around in my head now!

Nope its not from Abercrombie its actually from Hollister which is a chain from Abercrombie!

If it's warm, flip flops will do the job, defintily... If you wanna go out, try either stilletos or those high heels with that ballerina thingie.
Try not to show too much skin on the upper body, one could easily look REALLY cheap. But if you're goin' to the beach, a bikini top would look HOT HOT HOT!!!

I've got a skirt like that and I wear it with anything.....

Black tights and cream knee high uggs and a big sweater
Julien McDonald lace tights or fishnets or bare legs and Dolce and Gabbanna Motorcycle boots that are flat and have loads of straps and buckles and a leather jacket.
A yellow t shirt and some cowboy boots

What about some yellow or green shoes, either a mid height cone heeled pump, (eighties style) or flats? Denim looks great with bright shoes

I am curently updating my wardrobe. I have some question which I hope you can all answear.

I have bought a brown belt. When I ware jeans, do I need to ware brown dress/casual shoes?

I have t-shirts with funky football logos such as amsterdam, or anthing you would see at american eagle. Should I tuck in my shirt or should I ware it loose and over my belt buckle when I ware jeans?

When I ware a shirt with a floral print and it is collard and black, can I ware a bandana and tie around my neck as a tie?

Should I ware my nice pair of jeans with dress shoes only or could I ware sneekers.

When I ware painters pants, whats the best shoe, dress or sneekers?

When I have a blazer on can I get away with a long sleved dress shirt with no tie worn over the belt or should I tuck in?

Thanks for any insight.

One thing you need to do is learn how to spell wear properly!
I am sorry, it's just annoying!

Didn't want to say anything, but as a reading tutor...

Yes, you should wear casual shoes, brown preferably.

I have t-shirts with funky football logos such as amsterdam, or anthing you would see at american eagle. Should I tuck in my shirt or should I ware it loose and over my belt buckle when I ware jeans?
Yes, you should tuck your shirts in, but for preference, you should wear tee-shirts that fit properly, or that come exactly to the waistline of your jeans or trousers. Oversize tee-shirts generally make the wearer look dumpy. Do not wear a shirt loose over your belt buckle; it will make an unsightly lump in the middle of your stomach where the buckle latches.

When I ware a shirt with a floral print and it is collard and black, can I ware a bandana and tie around my neck as a tie?
I am not sure if you meant collared or colored. Yes, you could wear a bandana or a scarf around your neck as an accent. Just make sure that it is a good accent to your shirt; that the colors are complimentary to the clothing and becoming to your skintones. If the shirt is a print, you probably want to go for a plainer scarf, either in one color or maybe a subtle stripe. If the shirt is a solid, you can use any type of scarf you like, so long as the colors go well. If you are good at wearing bizarre and clashing clothing, you can bend the rules more. I, myself, wear many odd combinations, but you have to have a LOT of confidence to really wear peculiar clothing.

Should I ware my nice pair of jeans with dress shoes only or could I ware sneekers.
Well, it is very much in fashion to wear heels with jeans. I personally hate that look, but I know many people here advocate it highly and could advise you best on what types of dressy shoes to try. I am not fond of sneakers either. My preference for shoes are hiking boots or oxford-type shoes, though classic Converse, Vans, and Keds are all right for kicking around in.

When I ware painters pants, whats the best shoe, dress or sneekers?
Sneakers, hands down, but work boots would be a vast improvement over sneakers. Painter pants, being baggy, look best with something fairly heavy beneath them for visual balance. Dress shoes would be patently ridiculous.

When I have a blazer on can I get away with a long sleved dress shirt with no tie worn over the belt or should I tuck in?
Does the shirt hang over the waistband of your trousers? How fitted is it? If it is baggy and hangs down over your waist band, then tuck it the hell in. If it is fitted and only comes to the waistband, or just barely below the waistband of your trousers, then of course you can leave it untucked.

Rule of thumb: if you are wearing a belt, then tuck in whatever shirt you are wearing. It looks really tacky to see the outline of the belt-buckle through the fabric of your shirt.

So, there are my thoughts on your questions. Do with them what you will.

I'm guessing you are a guy...right?

OK so about wearing a bandana around your neck with a collared shirt: I don't think this a good idea, unless you're from the south of US and want to look like a cowboy?

Nice jeans can go with almost any type of shoe, so it depends on the level of formality.

And as for tucking or not tucking in shirts when wearing belts, As_You_Like_It said it best. Always tuck in if the bottom of the shirt surpasses the belt by more than an inch or two.

I meant wear not ware, I was in a rush when I posted and did not self correct myself. I appreciate the advice. I am a guy. Its just nice to get a female perspective sometimes.

When I said collard, I meant a dress shirt with a collar.

Anymore advice I would apprciate it.

Thanks Starfish71

I dunno... I'm a person who thinks that if you think it looks good, then it's fine.

But the bandana is a no.

Everythign else is a matter of your tastes.. if you dont want to tuck in your shirts, don't... if you dont want to wear a tie with your blazer/dress shirt.. don't.

I would only wear the bandana on special occasions. A club where they were playing a lot of funk music. Think of the bandana as a funky tie. Something that Lenny Kravitz would wear, or alot of the seventies funk band would wear.

I guess because I am black, I can get away with a unconventional look.

i bought a pair the other day, they're wool and they finish just above my knees and i figure i can wear them with something basic like a polo shirt and thongs or loafers

yay? nay?
any more suggestions?

You dress them up with a crisp button down and pointy flats.

They sound awesome! Polo shirts, button downs tucked in, will look great! You can totally dress them up for night too with a great pair of heels :flower:

thanks for the suggestions!

just wondering, would they be okay for work? (I work in a dental clinic)
