What can I wear it with?

I have this dress for like a year now, and I have never worn it in public.
I got it very cheap in a second hand store, I thought it was to pretty to leave it there.
But I have no idea how to wear it. the blue/red details are making it hard because those aren't realy my favorite colours. but the dress it so well made, and it fits me perfect!

Awwh that's so cute
If it isn't too short I would wear that dress on a sunny day with flat simple shoes and if it's too short I would wear it with a vintage lookin pair of shorts, very short ones so they wouldn't be visible under your dress but if you would bend over you would't show any private parts

Help with styling please!

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a pair of shoes but they were lighter in color than I expected. I was wondering if any of you could please help me out with what clothes to wear with them? :flower: I would like to know good color combinations. I don't have a bag in this shade to match with the shoes as of the moment and I like to wear denim as well, if this info helps.

I know there are a lot of great dressers here and I would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks so much!

Here are my shoes:

If I'm getting the right colors from the picture, they seem to be a light beige. I really like beige mixed with pastel colors, light airy pinks, mint shades of green and such. But they seem to be a good neutral color, so I think almost all color combinations would suit.

It think pale colors (dusty pinks, blues, ect.) would look beautiful with it. Although, like ScarlettLover said, its a good neautral color and it could be worn with almost anything.

YoninahAliza and ScarlettLover, what color bag can I wear with them if I wear pastel tops with denim or light colored dresses?

I love these so much! I think you can wear everything with them, a flirty summer dress, skinny jeans, a mini, everything you feel you need to wear tights with and so on. The color and style is so neutral and classic, I don't think you can go wrong. And I don't think your bag needs to match either because of the color. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with this shade of cream.

I think it's far more chic to NOT be matchy-matchy shoes & your bags :ninja::innocent:

Why not post some of your bags that you're thinking of...of were you going to purchase something?

Thank you, diesanni and Serenity*Now! I do love these flats. They are so comfortable. Been using them nonstop since I got them. It's just that I've always been a "safe" dresser and tend to stay in the same color family with regard to my shoes and bags. Although I admire those who can just mix and match and look totally fabulous! Wish I could do the same, I just don't know where to start.

Been using these shoes with just my YSL Muse:

What other color bags can I use? Chocolate brown? Navy blue? LV Mono? I just realized I lack lighter colored tops in my wardrobe and I've never worn dark colors with light colored shoes except for metallics. Thanks so much for helping me out! flower:

^ first off, LOVE the bag. And 2nd, right THERE ^ -perfect outfit w/ the shoes.

Your shoes are so neutral that truly any combo would be good except...if you went completely dark with the rest of the ensemble AND your bag...the shoes might look 'off', in my opinion.

Thank you! I love my Muse too.... wanted one ever since it came out but it was only last year that I found it in the perfect shade.

Okay, time to be more adventurous with my wardrobe then! I guess there just has to be one article of clothing (or accessory) that's also light colored aside from the shoes to tie it all together! Thanks again for all your help! :flower:

so i have a slight dilemma, i hope some of you can help me!
it's my anniversary with my boyfriend on wednesday but it will be pouring ALL DAY.
we're going to visit the newport mansions (if any of you are familiar) and get a nice lunch.
i want to wear my hunter wellies because we will be doing a lot of walking outside, but i don't want to wear just skinnies and a top, i want to wear something relatively dressy.
the hunters i have are the black glossy ones:

please give me some ideas on some cute outfits! i was thinking perhaps some cream over-the-knee socks with the boots, but that's all i can think of so far. thanks :)

I don't know your style, but those would look great with a short floral dress, or any kind of feminine dress really since this would provide good foil. You said you don't want to wear skinnies but if you wear dark denim skinnies with a wonderful lace top that would be dressy. Trench coat...pearl necklace...

patterned/lacy tights would go well with those too with a simple drapey or asymmetrical tunic/tent dress in navy for example.

my style fluctuates a lot, but a lot of what you said relates to what i've been into recently.
i just got a really soft grey batwing cocoon cardigan, so i think i'll go with a dress and bring that for over it if i get cold, and definitely the socks as i mentioned. thanks so much for the idea :)

^You should visit MK&A Olsen older thread! You'd find plenty!

Jeans and black pants are obvious.

I'd wear them with a suit like outfit: slighty boyfriendish black jacket, straight black pants and a loose white shirt. A basic outfit to bring out the shoes.

I'd wear them with some fluttery skirt or dress and maybe a leather jacket when it gets cold at night. Just something very delicate, I love the contrast.

I was wondering if any of you had some ideas on what shoes and such to wear with this dress to make it more edgy and less girly :p??!!

^ I don't really find it "girly" but more "athletic" or casual, or summer...
when I think of girly- I think flowy, flowers, lace,...etc.

I think it would be a mistake to make it "edgy" but that's totally my opinion. I mean you could wear ankle booties or studded jewelry with it but it might be 'off'. Again, totally my opinion but I think this dress lends itself better to summer and summer shoes-sandals, flips, wedges, etc

Oh-and I agree with diesanni's idea above. Love it.

Sorry for the bad quality phone pics, but what shoes do I wear with this dress? I only have flats and boots and they don't really go with this. :/ I also have blacks strappy sandals but they look weird with this of course.

^ You could try wearing a pair of flat sandals. I can't really tell if the dress is a black or brown color but you could wear sandals in those colors or even in that color pink if your feeling adventurous. Or you could also try a pair of peep toe heels, I'm once again thinking black/brown or even a cream color (I actually really like the idea of a cream/tan color that might make it more summery). Hope that helps! :)
