What can I wear it with?

Any ideas on how to style this dress to look less "cute"? I'm usually just wearing a pair of flats and maybe a cardigan with it but I'd like to try something else.

Maybe some heavy jewelery? Something with big chains or maybe even (subtle) spikes may work. Since it's black you could try black patant leather shoes to give it some edge.

And i like the hair suggestions Petit Lucille gave.

Hi, I've got a nice fisherman jumper but unfortunately it's in a yellowy cream colour (and I can't dye it as it's 100% acrylic) I can't think of how to wear something that's creamy yellow

What do you guys think of the colour? I might be overreacting :P

You could take the creamy preety effect and contrast it, with something more harsh, or go with the flow and add other pastel colours, like a very light blue..

melissaRB, I'd pair that with other darker neutrals -- olive-green pants, a saturated dark rust skirt, darker warmer greys, etc -- or even some brights in your jewelry/accessories (a brilliant dark orange or saturated teal blue would look great!)

I just got this wonderful DVF lace dress (mine is in navy). Any suggestions for shoes and bag? Thanks!

^I think that some cream vintage-style shoes would be very elegant, something like this;

I'm going to Matthew Bourne's Cinderella at the end of the month. It is set during the Blitz so I want to wear something that is reminiscent of that time without looking like total fancy dress. I got this suit on ebay (pic from ebay.co.uk) and would appreciate some ideas for accessories etc. Thank you :heart:

What would you wear with a turban?
Found this gorgeous one but what outfits would it go with? My wardrobe mainly consists of basiccolours and my style is classic, feminine and a bit 50's/60's.

^ and depends on your skin color. A dress would fit a turnam better imho but the thing is Im not sure about what colour to wear with that turban .. navy, perhaps?

that's true, but I think I look good in pink. I'm thinking a dress too, but I usually wear dresses. I think pink goes good with black but Im still not sure if I would just feel silly rather than fashionable :smile:

Guys, please help! Just got these summer brogues. I have a few ideas on how to style them (anckle jeans, for instance), but I was curious how would you see them styled :flower:

Could be cute with ancle jeans and a white or colourful shirt/blouse or with a short, white broderie anglaise dress with width in the bottom. Could also look good for a 50's ish look with an A-line skirt in one of the colours in the shoes and a white top (or one of the other colours) :smile:
