Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
Genre: Comedy / Drama
Plot Outline: A family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant take a cross-country trip in their VW bus.
Cast: Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear

Trailer: www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/littlemisssunshine/trailer/

The Good Shepherd (2006)
Genre: Drama / Romance / Thriller
Directed by: Edward Wilson understands the value of secrecy--discretion and commitment to honor have been embedded in him since childhood. As an eager, optimistic student at Yale, he is recruited to join the secret society Skull and Bones, a brotherhood and breeding ground for future world leaders. Wilson’s acute mind, spotless reputation and sincere belief in American values render him a prime candidate for a career in intelligence, and he is soon recruited to work for the OSS (the precursor to the CIA) during WWII. As one of the covert founders of the CIA, working in the heart of an organization where duplicity is required and nothing is taken at face value, Edward’s’ idealism is steadily eroded by a growing suspicious nature, reflective of a world settling into the long paranoia of the Cold War. As his methods are adopted as standard operating procedure, Wilson develops into one of the Agency’s veteran operatives, all the while combating his KGB counterpart. However, his steely dedication to his country comes at an ever-increasing price. Not even his wife Clover or his beloved son can divert Wilson from a path that will force him to sacrifice everything in pursuit of this job.
Directed by: Robert De Niro
Cast: Matt Damon, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, Joe Pesci

Thanks. I love your list as well. Both of those movies sound great. :flower:

I'm really looking forward to Running with scissors! It's based on the really funny and kinda disturbing book by Augusten Burroughs. Hopefully they don't butcher the story, it's a really great book, I hiighly recommend it.
Marie Antoinette is another one and def. Zodiac because David Fincher is a genius and Jake Gyllenhaal isn't that bad either..

I can't remember the name but it featured Cate Blanchett and it was due this spring I think...sorry I'm tired.

and

The Devil wears Prada, of course.

i want to see "das leben der anderen" [= the life of others] as soon as possible, and after that, "the secret life of words". i just love the trailer (and that's a rarity, i despise most trailers, even if i like the film, but this one i find touching even after having seen it dozens of times.) this film has to be good.

Memoirs of a Geisha! I'm reading the novel and I just know watching the movie is going to be such a visual feast..

and American Dreamz, and Lucky Number Slevin.

Marie Antoinette
The Notorious Bettie Page
The Black Dahlia

I just read about the movie Awake on imdb.com, and I think it sounds quite interesting. The main roles are played by Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba.

Besides that I'm also looking forward to In the land of women staring Adam Brody.
