What is the "IT" Bag for Fall 2006

Mui Mui Coffer and Coco Cabas both very new and hot for fall. I also love the Muse, but I see it as a more timeless bag. Has anyone been lucky enough to get their hands on a Coco Cabas? I'm interested to hear what you think as I have only seen it in pics.

I have, it's a gorgeous bag. But the leather is iffy. It's available in red in Europe according to my SA.

I'm going to agree with everyone else and say that this season it's all about the Chanel Coco Cabas and the Yves Saint Laurent Muse.

Actually that YSL bag is the rive gauche, not muse. Muse doesn't come with shoulder strap, top flap, twist lock, and the muse is more trapezoidal in shape

I have, it's a gorgeous bag. But the leather is iffy. It's available in red in Europe according to my SA.

I spoke with a SA at NM and he told me the cabas is actually some kind of waxed canvas (?). Anyway, I asked him if it was patent leather and he told me it actually wasn't leather at all. It looks like it would be a great "fun" bag- the SA said it is huge!

^there are multiple varieties lelee: vinyl (the one that looks like patent), leather, and satin. also 2 sizes, although the leather only comes in the smaller size.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. I'm ashamed because I really do love the Muse bag and I know what it looks like. Silly me.

The leather is waxed? It's really cheap looking, IMO, I love thier caviar but this caviar was really plasticky.

the cabas actually comes in two sizes I believe. I saw the large one in in my local Chanel boutique and something about it reminded me of a garbage bag. Maybe cuz it was huge and plasticky looking

the leather only comes in the smaller of the 2 sizes, which is still big but not as big as the jumbo vinyl one

Not yet since it's just going to be released and then barely for some...but I'd say the Mirior Speedy, Embossed and Leopard Stephen...
