What skin care did you use today?

Belowen how did you like the Shiseido skincare? How did your skin like it?

I have used the line before, a few years ago and I remember my skin really liking it. I'm not sure why I stopped using it to be honest... This was back when I didn't take as much care of my skin as I do now, I didn't cleanse every day etc etc

I only have small samples & I can't justify purchasing anything new just yet because I still have a practically full bottle of skinceuticals cleanser left, but I think I will give Shiseido another try when I'm finished with the Skinceuticals.

^_^

Funny that you should mention that michyed, as I DO put products in the fridge, usually only toners, but just last night I had my Natura Bisse and Biologique-Recherche toner mists in the fridge for almost an hour before I used them. It really feels nice on my skin, the cool mist. You should definitely try it. And if you search for the 'Show us your Skincare Products' thread I have posted photos there of my stuff, but it's about two years old, so I should take new photos. ^_^

Ohh thank you! I am so excited to try it out now!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant in the shower
Exfoliated my entire body in the shower
Shampooed (The Body Shop) and conditioned (Kerastase) the hell out of my hair
Used my brand new epilator, yay
Applied aloe vera gel like crazy, then Biotherm Lait Corporel
Dermalogica Multi-Vitamin Recovery Masque all over my face
A ridiculous amount of Nuxe lip balm, my lips look dead :(

I feel nicely conditioned and hair free...aaah!

My favourite is still Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, I tried out the Skinceuticals Simply Clean but I'm not 100% sold on it. I liked it at first, but I had a few breakouts while using it so I might give it a rest for a little while. I do like the Shiseido Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam but it kind of leaves my skin feeling stripped right after using it, I'm not sure if I like that or not... I was thinking about going back to Dr Hauschka, but after using products with a lot of active ingredients, I'm wondering how my skin will take to going back to natural stuff... I'm also curious to try the Darphin Cleansing Wash with Water Lily, just because it sounds so lovely...

I am so tempted to splurge on Dermalogica products now because almost every post in this thread has Dermalogica written somewhere! I'm just scared that I might get ripped off like crazy if I purchase it here. Taiwan likes to jack non-Asian brand prices very, very, very high. The Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel costs about $45USD here (is that the currency you work with?).

Yes that Darphin Cleanser sounds tempting. Their products are so lovely, I've tried a few testers but never got to actually buying the actual products (too expensive here too ).

Have you tried any oil-based cleansers, like the Shu Uemura cleansing oils? Shu Uemura is having a discount this week so I will very likely go there tomorrow and empty out my wallet.:lol:

^Try hqhair.com or lookfantastic.com, I think they ship to Asia...

Dermalogica has a lovely oil-based cleanser (Precleanse), I think we're all pretty big fans of that one  I'd love to try the Shu Uemura brightening oil cleanser though, mainly because it comes with a pump :ninja: Precleanse can get so messy.

^oh my, thank you!! The shipping rates are cheap too! Have you purchased anything from these sites before?

^I have purchased from hqhair many many times, super fast shipping, never had any problems! Many of my girlfriends have purchased from lookfantastic as well, they were super happy too ^_^

I used Nimue Cleansing Gel and Ole Henriksen vitamin plus moisturizer.
I really recomend Nimue if you have a bit of a problemskin. My skin wasn't all bad, but I wasn't really happy with it and I have tried like all products! It's a lot better now.

:D
Ooooh does it help with blotchy skin?

^I think so! You can read about their products here. I've only tried the cleansing gel and one of their moisturizers, but they have other nice products that I was recomended as well. I've also heard md formulations is amazing. Ah, so many products. No wonder we get confused, hah. But I think I've found some products that works for me now. It took a while! I don't think I'll ever buy Chanel, YSL, Clinique, Dior ++ products for my skin ever again. Never worked for me. Ok, I'll stop babling now. haha

^Their products look fabulous! I love skincare brands that look so professional. The skin classification section just makes them even more reputable  I will definitely consider this stuff. Where is this brand from?

Going out for a vigorous walk now... Does anybody put on moisturizer before they exercise?

^ I'm not sure if it's good or not, but I personally don't tend to. It gets sticky, especially when you sweat.

You could also try www.adorebeauty.com or www.strawberrynet.com

I have tried the Dermalogica Precleanse, the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil & The Nude Cleansing Oil and the Dermalogica is my favourite by far. It's one of my HG beauty products now. I always have it in stock! lol.

^Oh my god free shipping anywhere in the world for strawberrynet! Thank you so much!

I also dont tend to put skincare products on before I work out, especially if I'm going to be sweating. I already sweat REALLY easily, so if I incorporate cardio-OMG I am dripping within like 15 minutes. I really go fast when I run and use eliptical machines though. So I in a way feel as if I'm wasting the products because I'm going to go home and shower anyway and then most likely do my skincare routine, so I wait until after working out, but if you're just going on a walk without much exertion and you wont really be perspiring, I dont see anything that might be wrong with that.

I've ordered from strawberry.net in the past, got an exfoliating La Prairie mask that was out of stock. I loved how they packaged it, from what I remember there was a ribbon tied around it and the box was wrapped in silver, just like La Prairie's silver packaging.

Anyhow, I'm getting low on my Dermalogica PreCleanse as well...need to get some next time I'm on a beauty buying day. ^_^

Has anyone used Orlane Paris products? It's the latest line I've become a bit obsessed with. There's a cream called Hypnotic that I really want, and their Royal Jelly Eye Contour Cream sounds divine. Very expensive products though.

Kissmesweet how do you like the Elemis Tri-Enzyme Cleansing Face Wash? I've always been curious about this as it sounds like an exfoliating cleanser.
