What the diffrent between Calfskin and Lambskin ?

Hello all leather good lovers ,

can you guys tell me what the diffrent between these two leather ? which one are more durable and support ?

calfskin by far is more durable. lambskin needs to be backed by something... felt.. interfacing, something for it to be more durable than calfskin. calfskin though it is taken from a young animal and does have stretch to it... lambskin by far has more elasticity than any leather IMO. Calfskin is def. more durable.

i was a bit confuse at the first time,last week when i visited Chanel website i have my eyes on the Ligne Cambon " waist pochette " so called the boutique up to enquire the prize and the colour .....unfortunely they told me they have sold out the colour that i wanted (the black with white CC) so the S A put my name down on the waiting list...yesterday i happen to read abt this calfskin and lambskin treats at other forum...and i begin to feel a bit worry....

Calfskin is definitely durable.. lambskin has a softer feel but stretches and is more easily damaged.
