What's the best facial exfoliator or mask?

I've been using Dr Sebagh's Sensitive Exfoliating Mask for years, and - though a good product - recently switched to the Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash.

It's a keeper and, in only a few weeks, has made my skin so, so smooth.

Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant is good. It's a mask, which contains some lactic acid that go deep into your skin and exfoliate from within. It's also very gentle. I loved it at first, but unfortunately after a while it stopped working. I am now using Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel, which is stronger and your face is red at first but it goes away after 5 minutes.

It's not very glam, but my HG is Garnier 3-in-1 wash/scrub/masque! You can use it quickly as a wash, massage it in as a scrub or leave it on for 3 minutes as a masque. I'm not sure what does it, but my skin is left bright, smooth and glowing after just 3 minutes!

Lately I've been really into yogurt masks. I take about a tablespoon of plain yogurt and apply it all over my face and neck, leaving it for at least half an hour. It makes my skin feel really smooth and calm.

Yes To Cucumbers soothing mask. Removes excess oils, soothes irritation, and un-clogs my pores and makes my fair skin look brighter. Love it.

I purchased Dermalogica's Gentle Cream Exfoliant not too long ago and was less than impressed because it did NOTHING so stopped using it. I already had good skin though, i have dry skin sensitive skin but i have it under control, but just wanted to get rid of the few black heads i have on my chin.

However, in a bid to get rid of the few blackheads i have been testing new products lately. all that it taught me is that my skin was good before and i could cry and how it is at the moment. my skin has had a reaction to some other product (not sure what yet) and i got all these tiny little bumps under my skin on my chin that i can't get rid of and my blackheads are worse.

i decided to retry the Dermalogica and it finally did something that i could see. when it was on my skin i could feel a slight tingling (nothing concerning) and now the little bumps on my skin that feel like sandpaper are definitely much smoother after just one use, and i only left it on for a couple of minutes instead of the full 10-15 mins. so maybe i just didn't need it before so thats why it didn't appear to do any work?

i will use it to get my skin back to its normal condition, and then i will not be using ANYTHING other than my normal Burts Bees cleanser, and my rosehip oil. lesson learnt: if you have good skin, don't ruin it with an array of other products to try to fix minor things.

I alternate between Fresh Rose Face Mask and Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque. I use the Kiehl's mask once a feel to declog the pores and it's a tad too harsh on my skin, in that, there's always a concomitant sensation of mild burning when I apply it. The Fresh mask, by contrast, is very mild and leaves my skin ultra-soft. It also doesn't hurt that it smells exquisite.

I use Nuxe Exfoliant Doux Aromatique aux 3 Roses as my facial exfoliant. It's one of the best exfoliants I've ever used. I also use the Fresh Sugar Face Polish, and although it smells wonderful and leaves my skin smooth and soft, I think it's more a luxury product. Still, it leaves my skin bright and ultra soft and smooth, so I'm planning to continue using it. Previously I used to use The Body Shop Blue Corn mask, but it was way too harsh on my skin.

I love Galenic Pur Oxygenating exfoliating gel- it's a great for a dry as well as oily skin, makes it smooth and it doesn't contain parabens. I won't replace it with any other exfoliator- really recommend it to everyone!
And, although it may sound weird, I use a soft toothbrush in the nose area once a week:lol:. But it really helps.
