What's the most challenging surface to wear high heels?

cobbled pavements gets me everything!

I have wobbled and twisted my ankles over this type of suface so many time!

Marble floors come a close second, but I guess if you walk R..E..A..L..L..Y S..L..O..W..L..Y, it's still not as bad as cobbled pavements.

yeah, cobblestone streets are impossible to navigate in heels. i used to live on a cobblestone street and i always felt like suuuuch a sp*z when i left my apartment in heels. i took a real bad spill one time running across the street to my exboyfriends car in heels. it was quite embarrassing.

i also almost sprained my ankle walking home one night after having a bit too much to drink ... man, i must sound like a total clutz.

i'm gonna go with the floor in my school cafeteria... it's always slippery and once i fell on my butt from slipping on relish....

i'd say the most challenging surface would have to be ice.

i love this topic. heels look great where you'd least expect them!

For me its slippery shiny smooth surfaces. Theres a shoe shop called office and they polish their floors so much sometimes I almost slip..

moist ground.... jeez... not only does it ruin the heel.. but you can fall over if you don't compensate by shifting weight onto your toes

the hardest surface to where heels....hmmmm

icy and snowy surfaces... also my school hallways.... they're very slippery for some reason...

A car showroom floor. Unless you're wearing tennis shoes, you'll go slipping and sliding right onto your ****.

I'm not understanding the complaints about 'slippery' surfaces. There are non-slip pads that can be applied under the ball of the foot that will stop most, if not all of those problems.

The bigger issue would seem to be soft or uneven surfaces where the spike heel isn't on solid ground or walking up or down hills or steep inclines such as ramps.

What about deep pile carpeting or carpeting over thick padding?

Then of course there are those infernal stairways.

Completly impossimble!!!!!

My city has cobbled pavement everywhere, and there is no way that one can walk frrely in them.
Even with kitten heels is extremly difficult! I posted here once because of this. I went out with brand new kiiten heel shoes and by the end of the day i had lost one of my shoes twice (imagine the embarrassment), i had slipped several times, and almost lost the heel.

If you ever come here you will find like 2 women in heels!!!...that shoes how much impossibility there is to wear heels here!

I have quitted the possibility to even wear kittens, so flats are my only choice for now, either that or low wedges.

cobbled pavement is absolutely the worst. I have nearly killed myself on ice in heels several times, but it was literally impossible for me to walk on cobblestone in heels each time I have tried. literally have to take off my shoes to walk. Yeah, that's really, really awful.

hills. my school has hills all around campus, the kinds of hills where even if your wearing flats, you can feel the strain on your legs from walking up the hill. I can never wear heels there.

I agree. And the worst thing is that the love that kind where I live. Don't they think of ud with high heels?

A field is def. the hardest.
The last time I wore heels I was dragged into a field (for pictures), then had to run down an unpawed street to catch a parade and ended up knocking my toe into a big rock. Auch!

I also find that grass is quite tough. I feel like my heel is sinking into the ground. Of course, I'm probably not the most graceful person in the world on heels.

The floors in the cheesecake factory here are soo slippery, I can barley keep from falling.
