It's a resturant called the cheesecake factory. I've been in 3 locations and all of them and all have such slippery floors

OMG Guessgirl you are so right...I slip about 50% of the time I am in that place.I have to take really small steps in there :rofl:

Oh I forgot...Cobblestone streets of Alexandria VA and Georgetown/DC too

Ah, that restaurant sounds divine. I'm hungry now thanks to you :p

Lol that sounds just like a restaurant that I go to very often!! I swear they polish the floors in place, they are just so shiny and slippery!! I always slip when I'm in there, on one occasion it was about a foot!!

It's quite amusing after a few drinks tho, I've ended up gliding around on that floor in my slippery stilettos just like an ice dancer!!!

Cheesecake factory is like the H&M of the culinary world, if H&M were to release the Stella McCartney collection EVERYDAY... Food is decent, but definately not worth the wait, and not worth being trampled by hungry 40-year-old housewives or a pack of 15 year olds... They are like wolves!

These places are just itching for a lawsuit:hardhead:

You mean it would actually be the restaurant's fault if you wore shoes with polished soles like these, and fell flat on your face? See, that's the difference between the US and Europe, we don't sue each other over silly things that's really our own fault

I once sat on a jury for someone who fell down in a gas station b/c of a slippery surface. The gas station had to pay 10K for her medical bills

Why, what did the gas station do, polish the floor with grease?

LoL you would think so! They mopped the floor and didnt put a wet floor sign anywhere nearby. While the woman was getting her morning coffee she slipped and busted her knee, was taken to the emergency room and it bothered for for over a year. Watch out in those gas stations ladies and gents

frivolous lawsuits can get crazy here in the usa. some people just don't know where to draw the line and that's why so many corporations wish there were laws on suing rights (which I don't believe in, but still). i mean, i've slipped in polished-sole stilettos a few times, but i know that was my fault. there's no chance in hell i'd sue a restaurant just because they kept their floors clean and my shoes weren't conducive to walking on smooth surfaces...

I agree, that it would be a good idea for you ladies to key or scrape the bottom of your soles, but as for CL...who would want to ruin that gorgeous red sole.

True, but the first time you walk on anyhing but carpet, they won't look like that anyways.

Not sure if the self-adhesive non-slip pads will mar the soles or not, but they would definitely make them safer.

I've tried those non-slip pad things and I actually don't like the way they feel when I walk. I find I trip up all the time, where with smooth soles, you can kinda 'glide' along much more elegantly. :)

I kinda like the slippy feeling every now and again with my shoes, it's a really nice sensation
