what's your largest $$ amount you spent shopping in a recent month?

im thinking that this thread would look a lot different if people were spending money they earned THEMSELVES. ie. no sugar daddys/mommas/brothers

Not really because I myself work and pay for most of my stuff.

^ seriously
There are so many people putting themselves in the hole to keep up with the Jones'. This generation is single handedly keeping the economy going with no help from the baby boomers.
There is nothing wrong with spending it if you have it but if you cant pay cash you dont need it, especially for college students. People like to walk around with $1000 dollar outfits on and "dont have a pot to piss in" as my grandma would say ha ha.
Im just bitter cause I cant spend 27k on purses.

You people are crazy lol.

I mean.. being a student, I earned about $2000 last summer, and I use it to buy a few designer pieces [along with other cheaper]. And I'm happy with it. If i find a cheap piece that's cool, I'll buy it.
However, what I hate is when people see me walking around wearing labels, thinking that i'm a spoiled brat, who spends his parents' money.

^^ You see that's the problem I experience. I do wear high end label clothing and accessories, but it doesn't mean I don't work for it. People automaticly assume you are so millionaire and your parents pay for everything which is quite the opposite. I purchase high end labels because I really like the pieces and I happen to appriciate quality and the fact that I know that small children aren't getting paid two cents a day to make a poor quality brand of clothing.

I sometimes even get treated bad by friends because they right away assume I'm loaded and that I'm a snob and what not. Or they expect me to buy them stuff because I wear such expensive clothing. Quite ridiculous. I have even lost friendships over this situation, due to the fact people think just because you have good quality pieces you must purchase them items and what not. Heck if I really like something and I think I'll make good use out of it I will get it.

wow...this thread inspires me...haha...i don't feel so bad about buyin tat coat from Atelier anymore...hehe

the amount of disposable incomes some people have for clothes is just...wow
i guess each of us have different priorities. My priorities tend to be more on clothes as well.

it's good to have a trust fund :D

why do i blow $100 in few minutes it boggles my mind. i am serious. maybe someone should make a thread on how not to? i need guidance. B) FYI: mind you i have a career. so it isn't just the teenies that have this prob.

to get back on topic:

I have blown a $5000 on clothes in one sitting...i went nuts at Bergdorfs. And my shopping wasn't done. I still have the accessories dept to go to. Yeah it was one of those days, I supposed.
