You listed Lagerfeld @ Chanel twice, and Nicolas Ghesquiere only has an H in his last name, but otherwise it looks great.

Couple more...
Ennio Capasa for Costume National
Christopher Decarnin for Balmain

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler if you want to add that.

Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana for Dolce & Gabbana and D&G (obviously lol).

Angela Missoni for Missoni, Valentino Garavani for Valentino, Donatella Versace for Versace, Franco Malenotti for Belstaff, and Michael Vollbracht for Bill Blass.

I believe Rei does the CdG that we see on the runway, and Junya and Tao both do CdG lines as well as their own namesakes. :flower:

Italo Zucchelli designs Calvin Klein Collection for men.
Paul Helbers designs Louis Vuitton for men.
Lucas Ossendrijver designs Lanvin for men.

how come Karl Lagerfeld designs for both Fendi and Chanel? I always wondered how that doesnt doesnt cause any problems between designs of both houses!

I don't know Mutter. You do have to factor in the design teams that are in all these big houses. I don't seriously believe Karl does all the designing at both.

junya's collection is actually part of CDG as is tao. On their tags, invitations and such,it's always read Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons and t a o Comme des Garçons. I think it's because Rei has been helping finance and supporting their collections and she is the one who urged them both to do their own work whilst they were still anonymously designing in other area's of CDG.

Recently I have been wondering who are the head designers for houses where the founding designer is deceased or retired. I am particularly intrigued by the the designers like Galliano and Gaultier who design for established houses and also have their own eponymous lines.

Balenciaga - Nicolas Ghesquiere

Balmain - Christophe Decarnin (previous head designer(s) - Oscar de la Renta)

Bill Blass - Peter Som

Calvin Klein - Francisco Costa

Chanel - Karl Lagerfield

Christian Dior - John Galliano

Givenchy - Riccardo Tisci (previous head designer(s) - John Galliano and Alexander McQueen)

Gucci - Frida Giannini - (previous head designer(s) - Tom Ford Alessandra Facchinetti)

Hermes - Jean-Paul Gaultier

Lanvin - Alber Elbaz

Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs

Pucci - Peter Dundas (previous head designer(s) - Matthew Williamson)

Nina Ricci - Olivier Theyskens

Valentino - Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli

Any Corrections or Additions??

^ Olivier Theyskens has left his post at Nina Ricci and the name of the new person is still to be announced.
Previous head designer at Valentino - Alessandra Facchinetti.

Thanks, I knew he was leaving, but I wasn't sure if he had already left. He is still on style.com (at least the page I saw). It's interesting because there was not a resort collection and the fall shows are less than three months away. Of course coming up with a collection is doable, but it will be an effort especially if the new designer has to do a lot of press. Perhaps it is someone on the inside, or that they are "auditioning" designers but doing it very quietly.

Add:
Fendi - Karl Lagerfield

agee you missed

Yves Saint Laurent: Stefano Pilati (Previous head designers: Tom Ford)
Did Alexander McQueen design for YSL btw? I remember him rejecting the position.

Versace: Donatella Versace

Also didn't Yves Saint Laurent become head designer of Christian Dior right after Dior died? Obviously there a huge time gap between Dior and Galliano...

Chloe - Phoebe Philo (Previous head designers: Martine Sitbon, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Paulo Andersson, Hannah MacGibbon)

I think Im even missing a name there....someone before Karl Lagerfeld maybe??

Balenciaga also has a previous head designer called Joseph Thimister, who designed before Ghesquire.
