Oh god, brian, I've seen those horrible things, too! I love how they claim them to be authentic and are trying to sell them for $1000. The authentic version of that last blue bag retails for almost $10,000. Why would someone sell a real one for 1/10th the price? haha I can't believe people fall for this.

I love the turquoise theda day as well. I also like the brown monogram. The mono line always seemed to drab to me, that seems like a funky way to buy into it you know?

Anyway, I know I'll never be able to own any of them. Its not even th emoney, I'm more than willing to pay the price for those beauties, it's the waiting lists. I'd guess they're already sold out before they hit stores. So I guess its either Ebay or knockoffs for me.

I can't really see how that could be worth it, even though it is a nice bag. That turquoise suede is nice...
Is it just me or is that "monogram canvas" made out of something other than canvas? To me, it looks somewhat like printed pony skin. But I'm not too sure because it doesn't look that "fuzzy"

Any info on the bag?

It was on display at the Vuitton store opening on Tuesday. It is made of only the Monogram Canvas with the suede draped all around the bag. However, the strap is made of tiny ball bearings woven together in a chain so I assume that's where most of the cost comes in. And that bag is part of the spring Couture line which was available by special-order only back in November.

It's funny when they first showed me that bag in the spring lookbook, it was estimated to cost $3500. I actually thought about ordering it because it looks absolutely incredible. I never went through with it but I was talking to my Vuitton SA a couple weeks ago and she said that they had raised the price to $9600 (!) after they had recalculated costs. I don't understand how a bag can jump $6000 in price!

I'm thinking of getting the THEDA GM Mini Monogram and/or the Turquoise,
but the prices this season are .
I'm not really sure if I can justify. $3550, $5500, I think I'd rather get a nice piece of Suhali.
But I don't wanna miss this season's Vuitton, so I think I may end up with a THEDA GM Monogram or a Monogram Leonor, which are cheaper

I'm on the list for both of those! I'm just going to pick one, probably the Theda, since I don't like the way the Leonor has been redesigned from runway to reality . They are both great choices, though!

I saw the Monogram Theda GM at the store launch last week and it looks great in person. I normally don't go for that traditional canvas all that much (except for a piece or two here and there) but like someone else said, the Theda style really spices things up!
