Okay, well, I was considering singing a song with my school band.
It's a pretty cool (skilled) band and I need to consider what song would be good to perform.
I want something rock-like (or pop rock but not like, Ashlee Simpson rock, please) and quite simple (sound wise. nothing electronic sounding since this is gonna be live and this band doesn't have THAT many instruments).
Something upbeat and funky.
So far I have;
Just a girl by No Doubt (but it gets quite high at the "OOOOH I've had it up to here" part)

and

Seven nation army by White Stripes.

More ideas please..I'm so blank! Thanks. :heart:

Closer by Nine Inch Nails. Your teachers will appreciate it.

this sounds fun.

how about some rolling stones? or the ramones? does it have to be current?

or robert palmer simply irresistible :P

Nope it doesn't have to be current.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm downloading the songs and then I'll see how well I can pull them off. The song I can pull off the best is the song I'll have to chose. :flower:

The God of all gods....

I'm too Sexy by Right said fred. Oooh yea. :wink:

If you want funky "Rock the Casbah" is a winner. Ramones is also a good option - "I wanna be sedated" or "Sheena is a punk rocker".

Black Betty. It's been covered by a lot of artists... I think the original version was performed by Ram Jam??? It's easy to sing, if that worries you, and it's unbeatably upbeat. I think you could blow the crowd away with that song!!!!
