Just catching up on the shows, I was suddenly struck by how much solid white outfits there are. Some really beautiful pieces that play with texture and shape for an all-white layering effect.

Almost every look at the Row was all-white or very light shades

Not all white, but still a strong color choice at Altuzarra

Interesting to see if this carries through to the other fashion weeks...

I think The Row have done this trend best so far, some beautiful things. SS11 was a white out too, so I'm a weeee bit disappointed that it's repeated for SS12.

I think a lot of designers are balancing out the whites with either extremely bright colours or very heavy, detailed digital prints, often in the style of Dries van Noten's patchwork prints from winter.

I agree this is a continuation of a trend (and to be honest - not my favourite, I just happened to notice ) but as others have noted, it's definitely done in combination with other details, whether it's bright and bold colors/prints, or sheers, it's not a flat look....

A bit less interesting than some of the other looks, but...
