Who defined style in 2005?

Sienna Miller most definitley. Somew ill say Kate Moss, but people - Sienna is the one that's in EVERY magazine and famous for her style, before I came here to this board - I honestly haven't heard much about Moss' style, whether she had it first or not. Sienna made it public, everyone wanted to dress like her this year, she was hyped as the new style icon,etc... It was like nothing I've ever seen before.
I love Jens style, but nowhere did she 'define' 2005 with it. Stella McCartney..same thing as with Moss, she has a popular style in the fashionindustrie, but for the broad mass - no.
So Sienna most definitley. She came 2005 and is super famous for her style and copied by millions.

For me, the Olsens.

Jen always dresses the same no matter what year and does not progress from year to year. That's fine, she looks good, but she doesn't define 2005.

Sienna Miller ... maybe for Brits, but definitely not for me or anyone I know personally.

Kate Moss is just classic, she's like Carolyn Besette - an ultimate icon. But she wasn't very visible for her style this year.

Many people don't pay a lick of attention to what Stella wears herself.

Also if you pay attention to TFS I'd argue that MKA has the most popular thread. 9412 posts.

While Jen and Sienna were in the news for their love life, and Kate was in the news about cocaine and modelling, the Olsens are mainly in the news for their fashion. (And Mk's recovery.)

i just think the whole summer wardrobe was down to that gal sienna  that boho look and all......

love her or hate her, sienna was the most influential. she started many of the trends we had in 2005

ey lets not make this a kate vs sienna thing ok? so there's kate and sienna in (no particular ORDER), tell us who else was fashionably wicked in 2005 so we can keep an eye on her wardrobe for 2006 tips!

I do think it was Sienna too. Every shop had almost exactly the same clothes she was wearing. It was full of boho-stuff! Though I prefer Kate's Style at the moment, she didn't define style as much as Sienna did this year.
Stella McCartney definitely didn't. I mean her fashion was of course a huge success, like the H&M collection but it's not like there's a stella style or something that everyone is wearing. About Jennifer Aniston, she always looks the same, she wasn't famous for her style this year, ther was too much talk about brad and her, so I don't think she defined this years style really.

Because I feel as though Kate is the embodiement of all that is bohemian and laissez-faire, I had to vote for Kate - it is her continuous, never faltering style that made more of a forefront on the High streets in 2005, than ever before - she influences celebrities and us regular folk alike.

fezbatik I couldn't agree with you more - Well said. I voted Kate also.

I voted Sienna Miller because I really do think she was responsible for Boho chic (MK took it to the extreme). However, I like Jennifer's style the best-- because it is closest to my own. :D

Though I don't necessarily agree with it, Sienna was the IT girl this year, style-wise.

Even if Sienna copies kate, she had much more exposure therefore having more influence. Plus, Kate has always been a fashion icon and Sienna is a new icon. The most influential copykat though is Nicole Richie. She gets even more exposure.

I'd say a mix of of sienna and kate because kate started wearing the clothes but sienna made them "famous" better than moss

It has to be Sienna. Shes is the one who was in most magazines and shops were trying to recreate her style. It doesn't matter who she was influenced by, she is the one everyone was talking about.

kate moss all the way
ew. jen aniston is not a style icon.
sienna's pretty but she copies everyone else and can pull it off.

i vote for rachel zoe who styles nicole richie, lindsay lohan, jessica simpson, etc. she's glorious.
