speaking of trends, I don't really stick to them and wear something that is very "in".
I wear what I like that suits my style and if what I like happens to be the trend, sure
saying the newspaper print dated because I think this whole thing was too loud at that moment and over used, now it's been quite a while and I feel somewhat weird seeing it (can't really explain my feeling )
(maybe think of a pair of super long/pointy toes? )

I like the print and the idea of them, but somehow this particular shoe doesn't strike the right chord for me. I like still like them a lot, but I have a feeling that another version would suit me better.

I like the idea of wearing newspaper print shoes with some sort of red and black outfit, though. Maybe they would work with jeans and a great black shirt with red accents in jewelry or something...and this great hat I have, not that that helps you to picture anything since I can't describe it. Or you could do some sort of funky look with layers and stuff a la...oh, I can't find a good example. Well, maybe kind of like Sasha's outfit here. They could add to an outfit in a cool way.

They're not too bad in black actualy, I myself am so tired of that newspaper print...he's been using that on the shoes,bags,clothes,and even on the packaging

i like the newspaper print, though.
it's john's signature.. it's like what the monogram canvas is to louis vuitton. B)

however it can get out of hand sometimes:

While I do like the idea of using newsprint, I could also do without those red laces.
Also, the black shoes are chic, but they basically don't seem like anything new.

oh well, i still love them, i agree Mr Galliano can go a lil' over the top with that print at times ahem, like in the picture brian posted.

I wear a lot of black and i think they'd go very well with a lot of my outfits, but hey each to their own i didn't ask anyone to like them, i just do... a lot hehe .

p.s they look better in black and white than just black, though i rather like the black ones too hmmm.
