In any case, I’m a big believer that pedophiles should be treated. Just putting them in jail will not cure them.

yes, but what if a pedophile raped your child??? I know I'd want him in prison. for a long time.

I have no children and your implication that I disregard the severity of pedophilia because it hasn't happened to my child is rather insulting. I think it is devastating if it happens to ANY child.

Regardless, I never said that they shouldn't go to jail. I simply said that putting them in jail is not enough. That is why they should also be treated while in jail. If they're not treatable then they should be castrated.

my instinct tells me that he's innocent and people are acting extremely due to the emotions attached to such a case. But then again you never know...

if he's innocent then he's behaved really stupid to put himself in a position where people would believe he was a paedophile, even if he thought there was nothing wrong with what he was doing, if that makes sense:blush:

If he is guilty then he should go to jail, and stay there. Most of them never change. When they are let out, they reoffend, like what happened to Sarah Payne.

He has done more than just donate money. He created a charity to help children. He's a hero, literally. One classifies someone who saves a life a hero, he's done so. This his not procclaiming how wonderful he is, it's just true. He's also been invited for meetings by presidents, Mandela, the African Caucus, and been given to keys to several cities.

His career is not over...his last two releases (both compilations) were big sellers (selling more than the albums of some popular new mainstream artists), his last few releases (except maybe Invincible which sold 8 + million copies ) were all record breakers in their field (Blood on the Dance Floor was the highest selling remix album). Also, he's planning a world tour for when the trial's over. You can't do a world tour unless you know plenty of people will attend. And all over Africa and some parts of Asia, he's a music god to the people. And he's still popular in south america, united states, and europe - he has plenty of fans there.

As for innocence...say you were accused of having killed your wife(nobody knows whether your guilty or )..and got out of it with, money, say. Just like Michael, except different case. Well, say you were a singer. Would you dedicate your next albums and songs to procclaiming your innocence and insulting your prosecutor? If you're not in trouble anymore but still guilty, would you do that? Would you risk it? And if he was guilty...why would he sing songs procclaiming his innocence? Why? I'd just not mention it and stay out of trouble. I can't say he's or guilty, but it's logical..

he s innocent. people take advantage of him cuz he s nice. I met him and he was super nice and friendly and then i understood why people are always after him, they think because he s nice they re gonna take advantage of him. Long Live Michael

Yes, but what's your take on the mother? Didn't she allow this to happen? I certainly think so. There is an epidemic of bad, weak parenting in the US these days, IMO. What kind of values is the mother teaching by taking money from a complete stranger? It's just like I heard on Tv the US comedian DL Hugeley commenting that if, it was some random(complete stranger) middle aged guy living a 1 bedroom place, you would likely never let your kids stay over night at his place. But since it's a famous, wealthy guy living at some huge estate, that makes it ok?! That is messed up. Famous/wealthy or not, the guy is a stranger.

No one here knows whether he did it or not, I don't understand how all of you are so sure he did it.

And *newsflash* - almost every guy in the U.S. has magazines. If you don't believe it, go look under your boyfriends bed.

I suggest the guys here do the same with your lovers. There is such thing as playgirl.

What they found under his bed was male child p*rn*gr*phy. All little boys between the ages of 6 and 11. Some of them were nude.

I would hope that almost no guys in the U.S. woud have such material.

I don't know if he did it... But when i looked at a documentary about Neverland, i got the creeps.
I recently saw the movie Mysterious skin.
The baseball coach is a child molester and he has his whole house full of toys, videogames, candy, cereals, etc... to get the boys comfortable. To make them like him.
And then when i saw Jacksons house, it just gave me goosebumps.

But to me a pedophile can never be cured. It's a sexual preference.
Like being straight or gay.

Forcing therapy on him is not going to change his urges.
In other times this was accepted. (Roman times, the Greeks, ... all known for the occasional boy on the side. Sometimes a boy was presented as a present for the guests.)

But in this society not so. So it has to come up with a way of dealing with people with those urges.

For me even if he's not convicted, he has to be restricted from interacting with children. If not for the children's sake, for his own.
They'll be on his every move. And excentric as the man is, they'll find something new, and drain him to bankruptcy.
Or they'll lynch him.

Honestly I don't think he is guilty.
I think the parents were tryign to make a quick buck - if they weren't then why didn't they go straight to the police instead of waiting 6 months and then sueing him.
And I damnwell hope I am right.

Thanks Model Mom for the warning. I was just going to post that when I saw it in the news. Anyways, I've not really been following the whole MJ saga but regardless of whether he is truly inoocent or guilty I think he'll be acquitted because as someone said earlier in this thread, the prosecution has got to prove it's case beyond reasonable doubt and from the little that I know, I think the defence has managed to put some holes in the prosecution's case (unless there were some important stuff I missed out).

TFS was the first place I thought about when I read that on the news.:flower:

thank mm :flower:

ok no on here has mentioned what ive thort for a long time why are the parents letting their children stay over at his house knowing hes been in court before on the same charges, and that he children would be sharing his bed. I think the parents are to blame as well !! If jacko is found guilty then they should be prosicuted to as they were sort of encoraging the abuse in a way.
