So the winter boots are out already in Montreal. As some of you may know MOntreal can get some pretty crazy winters so I need a boot that is water proof, comfortable, yet stylish and can go with jeans, slacks, and skirts.

All I'm seeing in stores are UGGs and I don't really like them. I have big feet for my size and I think they make my feet look gigantic. Plus they're very "last season"

Can you give me some ideas pictures as to what I could possibly get?

Jimmy Choo and Manolo not an option because they're uncomfortable and all the ones I have leak water inside

I got these for winter:

Got them a couple of days ago, and I abseloutly LOVE them! :D

(but you're probably looking for a more elegant style, aren't you?

God, that gave me a fright! I thought *I'd* replied to this thread already but I couldn't remember doing so.

I have them in black.

I'm pleased to hear that you love them! What do you wear yours with? I'm thinking about getting a pair in tan as well.

Wow! I love your new boots Jaim.. It's the right color for next season!

I think those are great. I think they would suit me well.

My only problem with sued shoes and boots is that the blue from my jeans rubs on them and stains the sued blue.

As for the rest of you who live in nice warm countries. I hate you!

Just kidding.

Some of us that live in Eastern Canada and Scandanaivian countries have to think of boots because we never know when our fist big winter storm will hit

I am indeed lucky to live in a nice warm country..I live in Southeast Asia, ha ! :D

Jaim, those boots are very nice.

I haven't found this problem with my other, tan, boots but I did spray them with waterproofing spray as soon as I got them which makes a difference when it comes to staining. :flower:

They're pretty waterproof 'cos they're cow suede not sheepskin. But if you waterproof them they're even better. I've worn my black ones in the rain.

They're from the link in my signature - Mi Woollies, which is a NZ company.

I have to say, I really love these boots! I can wear them with both minis and trousers. I have pretty thin legs, and the shape of the boots is slim, so my legs doesn't look like toothpics when I wear them :flower:

I would recommend you to waterproof them if you purchase them.

Here's the link to where I bought them from: http://www.miwoollies.com/index.cfm/Online...twear?groupid=2

Sasha, since they're made of suede cow, they are both warm and cozy, they adjust to the temperature of the weather. So you can wear them both in summer and winter.

Do you work for them or something? :)

I have to say that I'm a major fan of miwoollies, they have both great prices and great quality! I'm wondering if I should get the black ones as well.

I agree with you Celine! I'm from Norway, and we've had the coldest summer in over 15 yrs! So I'm fearing what this winter is gonna be like...

Even the word, 'winter', sends me into a depressive hibernation. :ninja:

how do you waterproof shoes? and thank you.

Don't they have stuff you can coat onto the shoes, kind of like saddlesoap, that is supposed to waterproof them? Not sure.
