Yeah, the Super Hero Girls poster is especially Ghost World-esque. Anyways, only appropriate the WKW's so-pretty, lush and arty movies inspire another artist in turn. ^^
It's funny, just from the stills, 2046 reminded my a little bit of Angela Lindvall's foray into film, directed by Sofia Coppola's brother (?), CQ. Luckily, it was 8 million times better, but high fashion with a sci fi twist seems to work pretty well.
I can't wait to see this! It all looks SO beautiful. I saw the preview for it when I went to watch "Layer Cake" and that movie was horrible but the preview of "2046" made it worth it!!!
in the mood for love was one of my favorite films ( expecially since i stumbled upon it and didn't experience the hype around it) but i was slightly disappointed by the very scarce appearance of maggie cheung- fans were expecting 2046 to be more of as romantic sequel. it dragged on a bit (ever changing final script ) but as usual chris doyle shows he's the best cinematographer around- it looks wonderful
2046...visually gorgeous and breathtaking!!! storyline-wise, i have to say it's a little too convoluted. i still prefer In The Mood For Love. in anycase, i'm a huge Wong Kar Wai fan.
Wong Kar Wai was set to direct Nicole Kidman in "Lady from Shangai" and i was really exicted about it,sounds like a great story. He would be great to direct Kidman! But movie was postponed for next year and its still not sure if Kidman will be in it!Shame!
