Worst Trend of 2005

Why oh why oh WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY is f**king BOHO not dead yet????

A few months ago I was talking to the head designer of a major high street UK retailer and was explaining my reasons for why Boho should be dead and how a more classic look should be coming back in. I tried to hide my face when she told me she thought Boho was here to stay for many years and she was banking on at least a few more seasons out of it.

(Sigh....)

 :innocent: :ninja: :ermm:

This drawings are so irritating, so ugly.:yuk: What's the name of this trend anyway?

paris hilton trying to do the boho look(it just doesnet work for u girl)

SPARKLY BAGS!:yuk: :yuk:

Ew. You can't even get a decent bag anymore, because those stupid things are everywhere.

I'm going to throw a cat amongst the pigeons here and say skinny jeans - completely hideous, completely unflattering, and possibly the most inaccessible trend ever. I think this is one that a lot of people are going to look back on their photos and wonder why they squeezed into something so massively unflattering, rather than going with what works for their shape. ok, lynch me! :ninja:

Peasant Skirts, Gypsy-look, Boho & Hippie.

I dislike about all of it.

But I do love oversized sunglasses though, I always did, they fit my face better than small framed glasses.

actually skinny jean is the most flattering type of jeans for my body, so I'm happy that it's in..

... and I hope it will stay that way:ninja:

ME TOO!!!!
Jessica Simpsons latest video were she dresses cowboystyle wanted to make me puke too... it's just tacky

I must admit that the so-called "boho" trend is now getting on my nerves, but on a whole the trend itself wasn't that bad-- there was just a lot of it and not much of an alternative.

One thing that I really hated were the wedged sandal shoes, the checked shirts and the shrunken blazers. Admittedly, on the right person they can look good (not altogether, obviously), but some people just didn't seem to realise that when purchasing those items. :yuk:

- Those disc belts Kate Moss wore, you can buy them on every corner of the streets, they're very popular with 14 year old girls over here (I know, boho again :yuk: )
- I hate to see bows everywhere (Marc Jacobs, Viktor & Rolf), that girly pink look, I think only suitable for little childeren
- And cowboy boots worn with those wide hippy skirts, argh.............

Agreed!! Those things are everywhere!

i think its all subjective and personal and what suits or doesn't suit someone individually makes a big difference. skinny jeans and big sunglasses suit some people as opposed to others. what i think is ALWAYS unflattering is buying into a particular trend when it doesn't suit you just because its in.

definatley balenciaga bags, and all the cheap and nasty copies floating about. such a beautiful bag, but overexposure/overproduction has made it the most fashion-victim item around.

cheap and nasty chunky bangles. oh the humanity......

and how could i forget, the HIDEOUS!!! 3/4 BLACK LEGGINGS!

I've been seeing a TON of shiny bags made up of a bunch of circle things in the last week or so. Horrible, especially when I see them on girls who wear sweatpants and crap with them. It's like they wear the plainest, ugliest clothes, then have these incredibly flashy bags. Worst combination ever.:yuk:

I commend you for going out on this limb. I am very small and young looking, so I don't look like I saw this trend first time around--but I did!
I've been battling with whether or not I'm going to go with it whole-hog or just dabble (I've altered some "cheap" jeans to get the look vs. Sass & Bide on Ebay). I think it's a tough look to pull off well, Scarlett Johanssen is gorgeous though perhaps not meant to wear this trend?
Anyhow, I think people (starlets included) should be fairly trepidacious about the whole thing.
