Yoox

I agree Metal.

What is interesting is that they carry a lot of American brands, like DKNY, Theory, Tommy, that the US Yoox version doesn't have. I believe they used to ship from Italy, but now have centralized their warehouses according to the market. I mean we would expect the selection to be better for the French....:) Also, British GQ always features a few choice items every week on their website directly from Yoox, and sometimes they aren't available on the US Yoox.

Keep a look out though and I'd use my dreambox (love this feature!) for items in other countries and check if they pop up on the US side. I saw a sale item I wanted pop back up this way. There's tons of stuff I want, but the prices are still too high for me...I'm a cheapoo.

As for codes, I haven't seen any in the past few weeks, I expect as the holidays come around we should at least see free shipping.

Wow, I didn't realize each site had different stuff. I just thought they had everything marked in the different currencies. That sucks. Hopefully they'll change it some day. But oh well. It's still an AMAZING site, no matter how you look at it. :woot:

I'm right with you. I just finished cutting and pasting links and prices of all the stuff I want on YOOX into a Word document, then ranked everything from "Must Buy Now" to "Don't Really Need".

And it seems like every time I tell myself to stop buying stuff on YOOX, I end up buying something within the next day or two.

damn

i want one piece, but i don't really want it so i'll wait to see if it's still around by the deep discount time

I have about 20 items in my dreambox right now on Yoox, and I really want them now, but I don't need them and will wait for the sales, like everyone else is...why can't Bluefly upgrade their merchandise and rival Yoox in the so called Lux Market?

When is YOOX deep discount time? I didn't know they had one. But I just noticed that they lowered sale prices more today.

So I placed an order on Yoox the other day and I've been tracking it. It shows that it's coming from Bergamo, Italy. And now that I think of it, all of the items I've ever ordered from Yoox have shipped from there. So what's the deal with the whole European selection thing? Someone explained that the reason US buyers and Euro buyers have varying stock is that US orders ship from Seacaucus and Euro orders ship from Italy. But I don't think that's true. So if all orders come from a huge warehouse in Italy, why can't they open up the European products to US buyers?!

my only ever yoox purchase came from NJ.

maybe it's because they think that certain products won't sell in the US. just speculating.

Every one of my orders has come from NJ.

Thanks, Faust. Good to know...

i'm shocked that your item is coming from italy...i know that they used to all come from overseas...but i believe that they opened an office here in the last year or so and i thought that since then all US orders were shipped from NJ...my stuff came from NJ...and very quickly too i might add...how long is your order taking?...

Like I said, my Yoox orders always come from Italy. I ordered express shipping on this one so it isn't taking long. It shipped yesterday and is being delivered tomorrow. It's Balenciaga so maybe they don't have that at the New Jersey warehouse? I don't know. All I know is that if they're still shipping US orders from Italy, they need to open up all of their selections to us. And pronto!

LOL...aye aye...right away... :flower:
seriously though...it does seem odd...i don't get it at all...definitely annoying... :ermm:
