I rented a few movies on here with the praise from you guys and here are my reviews:

The Thomas Crown Affair (Renee Russo I found her wardrobe totally typical average up town professional New York. *Yawn*. I wouldn't suggest renting the movie over the clothes but it did have an interesting plot.

The Talented Mr. Ripley: Gwyneth Paltrow and Cate Blanchette sported some lovely 1950's frocks. They weren't out of this world or anything but definatly for those who admire old hollywood. There are some big screen caps below for those who'd like to view.

Slackers (Jaime King She wore a cute skinny neck tie type thing in the begining which I thought was cute but the rest of her outfits were really kinda boring. Just plain preppy stuff I can view at my local mall. The movie didn't really make any sense either plot wise it was a stupid teenage comedy basically. I say don't rent it for fashion or entertainment.

My personal recommendations would be "How to lose a guy in 10 days" for stylish designer mid-twenties style and "Almost Famous" for the boho hipy look.

-everyone in The Virgin Suicides
-Kate Hudson in How to Lose a Guy - she wore some really cute sundresses and her office attire was really sleek
-Diane Keaton in Annie Hall - her style in that movie has been such a huge influence in the fashion world; she looked so awesome
-Grace Kelly in Rear Window - or, really, any Hitchcock leading lady and any of Grace Kelly's characters!
-Sienna Miller in Alfie - I'm stating the bleeping obvious, but this was when the hippie chic, boho look was fresh and she looked so adorable in that movie
-Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction - she wore a lot of white, always looked sexy, and of course FIERCE, though I think the knife in her hand helped that
-Amanda Peet in Igby Goes Down - totally Edie Sedgewick wardrobe; everyone in that movie was styled really well
-Diane Lane in A Walk on the Moon - summer of 1969, great retro fashion; she looked really pretty in this movie
-Maggie Gyllenhaal in Secretary - before the sexy secretary look hit the runways, she looked totally hot in her tie-neck blouses and pencil skirts; such a great movie!!

I thought that Thirteen had a great interpretation of adolescent fashions. Bra straps, cut up tee, low rider jeans, g-stings sticking out etc...here are some great HQs

- Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in "Bonnie and Clyde", too cool!
- All the Hitchcock femmes fatales, but one in particular jumps to my mind now - Eve (played by Eva Marie Saint) in "North by Northwest"
- Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" of course B)
- Natasha in "War and Peace", old fashioned and naïve, but soo pretty

guess i usually like all the styles in the films of the 50's and 60's, plus i'm a sucker for Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn in, of course, Breakfast at Tiffany's, but also Roman Holiday and Funny Face.
Kate Hudson in Le Divorce
Every cast member in Shakespeare in Love-the ruffled shirts, blue tones and Gwyneth Paltrow's jewellery were to die for.
Preity Zinta in Veer-Zaara (Hindi)-Old Pakistani embroidery, silver ethnic jewellery, brown top lid eyeliner and long, flowy brown hair. It is set in the 80's but could be a lot earlier.

(and Emma Peel in the Avengers, but that's a tv-serie)

I love Katharine Ross in The Graduate as Elaine Robinson, so sixties chic that is still fabulous today. Of course, Holly Golightly. Amanda Peet in Igby goes down. Ali McGraw in Love Story (fabulous). Catherine Denueve in Belle De Jour. All those clothes are just timeless...loving this thread, trying to think of more...

I just saw the trailer but I already like some of Claire Danes' stuff in her upcoming movie shopgirl:

The pics don't show her outfits as they are in the trailer, but they're all I could find. Maybe when the movie comes out, they'll have more.
