I really liked pacino's and especially depp's clothing style in Donnie Brasco.

I loved Grace Jones in A View To A Kill (1985). The clothes, the hair, the makeup, all unbelieveable, especially for a child of like 10 when I first saw it. As it turns out the excellent wardrobe for Miss Jones AKA May Day was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier...

Im sure Gaultier did some other things, definately for May Day's sidekicks and probably all the other womens wear.

Im watching it right now. May Day is wearing this gorgeous tan velour geisha robe with a heavily draped hood and completely backless. Grace Jones has a gorgeous body.

Clueless was literally ahead of its time. The movie was a year ahead of the trends, which it probably made. Mean Girls was also right on the pulse of trends, not one thing that was in the movie wasnt popular after.

Even though it was a pretty bad movie, I did like Claire Danes outfits in The Mod Squad:

Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes-I can't believe how stunning fashion used to be and how emaciated stars look now compared to then.

Another is Tiffany Case from Diamonds Are Forever. I dont know who did her wardrobe (though Im leaning towards Yves Saint Laurent). But her twotone bikinis, plunging neck dresses, gorgeous lingerie, exquisite makeup and ever changing hair color were spectacular.

I have to say, the Bond girls dress exceptionally well, for the most part. Jinx in Die Another Day, atrocious, it doesnt get much worse than that, but what do you expect when Versace does your wardrobe?

Oooo...

Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. Kim Novak wore a white Balenciaga coat, it literally gave me chills. I saw a pic of the coat in a Vogue editorial from around that time.

I really liked pacino's and especially depp's clothing style in Donnie Brasco.

HAhaha I like that movie....but I really like the fact that Pacino sat around in red and green tracksuits watching animal documentaries...."Look at that lion! Did you see that?!"

I love this thread- I will add pictures myself of my picks tomorrow
Spike and Mystique, I wanted to say I have seen 2046 and the costumes especially worn by Zhang Zi-Yi are beyond amazing- set in the late 60's and every detail is gorgeous down to the nails.

Sadly she only wear one or two outfits throughout the whole film; I'd have like to seen more.
