Well the title says it all. Here is the place to post your favourite, or least favourite fashion moments from 2004. Wether it's a collection you loved, something memorable that happened or even a topic from this subforum of tFS, here is the place to post and discuss it all :flower:

Mr dale, you beat the mods in posting that.. :-D

1) sienna miller......seing her come into our lives was a good thing in 2004

2) seing kate moss blank sienna miller at the frost french show was the second best thing this year

3) all of karl lagerfeld's quotes

Personal moments:
- Getting introduced to fashion back in Jan already
- Loving everything about it
- Finding out what I want to do with my life

Memorable fashion moments:
- No Versace couture
- Tom Ford leaving everything
- When Galliano took my heart

Favourite tFS moments:
- Having made lots of friendships through tFS
- The "Yes Or No"-thread
- The Dior fw 0405 HC thread (40 pages!) loved it...

Bruno Pieters' strong,ultra-talented presence in Paris

The formation of Contemporary Fashion Archive by the EU. A wonderful concept surrounded by talents and free from conglomerates.

The Dover Street Market by Rei Kawakubo and Adrian Joffe. The entire concept was ultimately the brightest spotlight of the year.

Hmmm, favorite. I think I'm gonna go with the Christian Dior s/s 04 couture collection. It just amazed me beyond belief. Looking at the pictures from it I was like a kid in a candy store. Also, in a way it helped me find tFS, if I hadn't been searching for pictures of the show I never would've found The Spot.

But most amazing, even though it was hardly my favorite moment was when Tom and Dom left....it changed fashion in a huge way and it was just very surreal, like, who ever saw that coming. Even though the difficult negotioations were made public it was just shocking...to me anyway :P

Comme des garcons fall 2004 show

Wow, I missed that one I think....

My personal favorite moment in fashion this year was just getting into fashion in general, becoming more fashionable and discovering brands like Dior Homme, Junya Watanabe and Carpe Diem.

no versace couture :(

tom and dom leaving :(

wasn't it LV 150th bday this yr also? or was that last yr?

Richard Avedon's (great photographer) death

and also didn't Estee Lauder pass away too?

Must also add,Sophia Kokosalaki designing the costumes for the Olympics....and that Björk dress!

And the prize for spotlight presentation: Bernhard Willhelm's "Rubbish" collection for A/W 04. Not his greatest work, but the way he presented certainly leaves a mark for me this year. It was perhaps the most hilarious, and most fantistical thing I saw.

the new importance of the couture...
ozwald boateng at givenchy homme...
the end of sex and the city....
the second-wind rise of oscar de la renta...
the louis vuitton theda, the lanvin heaven, and the goyard EVERYTHING...
rochas footwear, manolo blahnik for proenza schouler, and the ysl embroidered boot....
gaultier for hermes and the new kelly and the new birkin...
the continued funkiness at chloe, the new sophistication of burberry, and the new outright glamour of chanel...
having a presidential election where we saw a head-to-head between classic american luxury (laura) and the french couture (teresa)...
