I miss the time when bloggers just photographed what they were wearing and taking inspiration from "normal" people on the street. It seems like nowadays, every blog is like opening a magazine, with hair and makeup and the whole production. Its nice but very hard to relate to it.

i so agree!! also too much advertizing imo. People sending free stuff and they end up wearing only that.

This are the blogs I follow from the very first beginning.
I must admit that I just don't get all the big hype around some blogs wich share only very trendy outfits and lack personal style.
Most of all I miss http://stylebytes.net/ I was a big fan in the early 2006 it's a shame she stopped writing.

The only one i read nowdays is Style Bubble, and i think the reasons are obvious - she creates content, makes a story with a beginning and an end, actually cares about the written and bothers to do research.

The only other blog i used to read was the Book of Miri, which I dont have a link for because the blog is down, there is a film though (havent seen it) She used to write about a wide range of topics but allways posted her thrifted outfits with it and it was really funny at times because id read it by google-translating her swedish so it would come up with the bizzarest constructions. Anyways it was a read that kept my attention combined with interesting outfits and i found her photography phascinating as well.

In terms of the more personal bloggers, I like it when their blogs don't just revolve around what they wore today or yesterday. Its nice to get to know the bloggers, their lives, and including their friends and family. It makes the whole experience more personal, don't you think? I also like it when they voice out their opinions on current news - not just fashion, but in general. I like to visit blogs to get a different point of view on things. So I think its great when bloggers do that
