Nothing like a crisp white one with the seams just right or the bohemian inspired flowing type, part of the preppy look or the… must stop myself, you get the picture. Stylish and sexy.

I obsess about the detail – the material, the seams, tucked in or draped out, long or short cuffs, fitted or loose, collar style, you name it. Don’t know what makes this fetish but glad my girlfriend shares the passion.

In the spirit of a quest for the perfect shirt share your knowledge and please post photos of your faves or links to ones you bought – designer or high street. What does make that white look just right (and why the hell does it wear and feel so good?!)?

I'm really loving blouses/tops with volume and moving away from fitted/too tight tops.. I use to wear fitted tanks a lot..now I like things that hang and drape away from me slightly. Also really nice buttons. I'm obsessed with replacing bland buttons for nicer ones that give a blouse/sweater a more polished look. I hope I answered the q right

For the perfect shirts head to Thomas Pink - they are my fave and you wont find a better alternative. Its worth the cash if your on a budget, but pennies for perfection if you have the bank balance to support it!

RL Purple Label shirts are really comfy.... or crisp, depends on what material you want, haha. But I really like their cut.

Now, I'll get stoned here for this comment, but I think that Muscle Fit shirts from Abercrombie & Fitch ninja can look REALLY sexy.

my two favorite shirts are both balenciaga, one is a classic, slim cut, white dress shirt. the other a spring 06 black devils in balenciaga tank. (i also have it in white)
I also have a penchant for dior homme t's, their always soft and really high quality

The best shirt [for girls] are the ones where the sleeves aren't riding your armpits.
They're the ones that are long enough to not bug your 'pits but not too long that females have the urge to roll them.

My favorite shirt is the sailor shirt I got in Spain on vacation at a fish market. The cotton is so soft and I just love the shirt so much because I think a striped sailor shirt is the one item of clothes that best captures my style
It's child size so it was a deal, too!
