Your First Designer Purchase

Such a nice story Meowmix.

My first designer purchase that I saved for as a student: a Dries dress in the early 90s- maybe '93- It has been my 'special occasion' dress for many years & still love it as much today

My first designer Purchase was abit of a steal really..
It was in the House of Fraser shoe sale and they're blue flat pointy shoes with a black strap across the toe and a blue star on the strap. They're Marc Jacobs I paid £30 for them and their original price was £225. I absolutely adore them, even if they hurt my feet...

My first real designer purchase was a pair of shoes from YSL's SS04 collection when I was in NY. It wasn't even a premeditated decision. I tried them on with no intention of buying them (still have never spent as much on shoes), thought they looked quite nice, and figured why the hell not?

A black suede Prada purse. Left a nice dent in my wallet for a bit. Now it just sits in it's dustbag in the closet.

I don't know if Steve Madden counts as a designer piece, but about a year ago I was in the mall just looking when I saw a cute pair of basic black wedges. They were only $10 so I couldn't pass them up.

Chanel glasses about four months ago - pestered my parents for ages for them. Ended up having to pay more for the lens than the actual frames coz my eyesight was so bad and needed them thinnned! Admittedly, i didnt buy them myself, but still my first designer item ...

First designer purchase...umm... probably has to be my prada handbag. I feel so bad for buying it though, because I never use it anymore.

my first designer piece was a gucci leather cap in 2002.i got some money from my parents and relevants for my final eximination got to vienna and bought it.im still using it..

I bought a classic black leather and fabric Gucci "Jackie O" bag about 5 years ago. I still use it all the time.

when I moved at the end of 8th grade I hated my new town, new school, etc... so my dad took me shopping and told me to pick something (I was barely at the time) and I got a LV speedy 30 that I have used to death (except when fake LVs where everywhere) since then! It was my first big designer item, but the first one I bought for myself was a dress for homecoming this year- it was red and cost about $400 from BCBG. I loved it!

for me personally, I don't count my department store buys like CK andTH..so I'd have to say the first/my most proud designer buys have been from a thrift store on Friday where I found Cole Haan shoes, and an Armani jacket for $15 and $25 respectively

well that must have been a pair of armani jeans
and yes it was stoneages ago

A "J'adore Dior" shirt in rose and yellow, when I was 16....I still have it but don't wear it anymore

Dior ponyskin keychain when I was in highschool

Geez, remember when ponyskin was IT in the late 90s?

It feel apart really quickly...on no.1 Dior replaced it. I still have no.2 somewhere...

My first designer purchase was my Marc Jacobs sunglasses which I bought last summer at Neiman Marcus in Chicago. I had been lusting after them, and when I went to Chicago, I made it my mission to buy them! I wear them ALL the time. ^_^

In the photo, they are the ones in the middle. I got them in the same color pictured (white).

I'm not entirely sure, but it was probably something by dior :P
Or possibly a LV bag that I bought for my mother, just like Meowmix did. The only difference is my mother never carried hers  (it's okay, though, I never carried the LV bags she bought me either :P )
