Quite the contrary...I'd love one in embossed patent leather like this one from June edition US ELLE mag.......,i think its just a luxurious looking bag,i like the chain and lock,and the shape just reminds me of the shape of most of the bags that my mom own back on the 80's....you know...the drawstring bags like the Louis Vuitton Noe.....except this looks like the updated version,this particular one is $ 1895....

Yeah....It's just an unappropriate name for the bag,its not the kind of bag you would wear for a stroll on the beach or something,.......

WOW. It's VERY cute. Kinda 80s. Does remind you of Noe but much more "upscale" if you know what I mean. Would look nice with a navy blazer, white jeans and ballet flats.

yes, the name "seaside" is strange to me, but i wonder if a lot of their bag nomenclature have any rhyme or reason?

i think the name came from the fact that it looks like bags carried on boats, with thick rope drawstrings (even though these have chains)...

i saw the navy leather one at the trunkshow i attended last week...
it's actually really nice in person, but i don't like the way it doesn't close...
the navy is really, really dark...almost black...

like purse princess said...very 80's and not in a good way. pair this with a huge hat, some big *** shoulder pads, nautical buttons and YIKKES!

my first thought was *shrug* nothing special.

it looks like the miu miu belted bag, only with smaller double handles. I'm not all that excited by any of the colors except the lizard skin looking one. the proportions look better in that image anyway, the LVR pics it looks shorter and wider to me.

The shape is kind of off, and it looks like a combination of an LV Noé and one of the Dior Cannage.
