YSL Shoes Fall 2006

posi good way of saying it. They do show restraint. They always do the best accesories.

I mean you look at the Prada shoes for fall and they are horrible. Too clunky...and some have fur heels. Nasty.

Balencaiga is way too clunky and Marc Jacobs is border line.

I think YSL pumps up the skinny heel and shoe just enough to make it different but not enough to look overdone.

ok I got my modern times pumps in from saks.com

I ordered a 39.5 39 and 38.5

I was thinking I would be 39 or 39.5

but I ended up being a 38.5

they are REALLY rigid and stiff. I think the metal piece in there makes it really hard to walk.

This was THE shoe I was excited about. I started seeing in the ads and all that and didn't love it alot

I got them this morning and I really do like them.....I wanted to hate them...but I don't but I don't know if I love but they are awk on the foot.

well both are uncomfortable. I am very upset. I can wear any shoe in the world but these are like a brick on your foot. I walk like I hurt my back or have something up my....

...its VERY rigid. I love them and they are great.

but they are uncomfortable. badly uncomfortable.

I think because between the platform and the first layer of the shoe...is that metal piece so it doesn't bend or mold or anything..its rigid and painful and doesn't absorb shock

i thought the metal was only a trim on the outside so that would probably explain the stiffness
they were one of my favorite fall shoes

yeah the metal is def a piece.

I tried them on again.....and they are getting better b ut I am worried with stretch they won't fit or the metal won't let the shoe mold to you

They look pretty but if they are not comfy and you are not 100% satisfied you should let them go..so many shoes out there (I think this is what you told me once)

I am sad bc these were the ones I was soooo happy about...but I am going to return them.

they were really slippy on my feet.

they sound painful, they look gorge though. i love the shape of them, i think they look much better on a foot than in the saks pictures.

i'm hoping these aren't as stiff as the modern times...
the patent leather doesn't look very flexible...

I don't think the cleo will. its the metal plate thing in the platform that does it.

They got better I tried them on a few times.

I am just concerned because on one foot my heel slipped out.

oh well. wasn't meant to be. sad me.

If they pop up on e bay or sale....I might get them and take the risk but for over $600 I think I need to stick with something that fits amazing.

so the modern times pump I fit into the size of my dad 38.5 but in pumps I am usually a 39

I have been told by YSL Houston that the modern times BOOTs run very SMALL. so FYI.

I have a feeling the CLEO shoes run a little big and might be like the dada. half size down. just a guess though.

so the last 2 things I am on the list for are the tchain...see the first of the thread.

I am worried the tchain which is fab won't be good. the entire sole is lucite so it might be clog like...and hard to walk in as well?

and I was excited about the now look pumps...but from what I can see in the mags...that fin thing creates a weird shadow.

also YSL boutiques are getting the pump in chocolate brown and blue heel and I am afraid the blue makes the shoe look....I don't know not so good.

the modern times pumps & slingbacks in the white leather with black patent toe are soooo nice.

the grey suede (?) tstraps are really nice too, imo.

they sold out so fast.

they are simular to the dada but are all closed toe, have a platform and less dramatic heel.

I sure love them.

I tried on the black suede Now look with red heel. I really liked them alot.

Those are a beautiful color and shape. I'm really loving the chunky platform for fall.

I'm trying to decide about a pair of bronze dada's on ebay. They're gorgeous but I don't know that I have anything to wear with bronze...
