Zamb You Inspire me...
You are the epitomy of positive thinking...
You go..and God bless!!

I'll be checking in:heart: :flower:

much love and thanks to you.

Im right on the cusp,
Just have to be a franchise player for the next few days and everything will be ok

Im wearing a very old shirt today,
I made them about five or six years ago.
Off white, with a blue toile print on them
the print has faded but i really like the shirt.
havent worn them in a while..........
well, I am saying all of this because the intent is that something, maybe this shirt, will get me out of this funk that im in.
I am right on the cusp, just at the edge,
i need to be superman for the next five or six days, the pants , skirts ans some of the dresses are fnished.
I should have finished the last of the dresses yesterday, but.... ive found myself in a funk. I hardly have the energy to do anything. i cannot even stay up for two hours when i get home.
not good..........not good.
I dont think i am going home tonite.
I brought the dresses (already cut and partially made) to work with me, I a going to stay here and finish them.
have to finish them. because when the weekend comes around, i need to be making the jackets.......which is the most critical part of the collection.
If i can finish the jackets by tuesday , I will be good, as that leaves me the rest of the week to do knit tops (easiest part of the collection.
I would have the other week to finish the rest of the tops, and be finished the clothing by Jan 31st.
then i would have four days to organize everything.
Good, I need to be superman.
hulk,
shaq,
tim duncan,
or somebody........... any kind of super Hero, just not who i am becoming now!
i just need to overcome this funk.
I need to be a winner!!!!!!!!!!
Have to be a winner.............

zam...who is your favourite designer?...

It depends
Azzedine Alaia (my all time favorite by a nose)

I love alose Balenciaga for His commitment to a philosophy, a singular way of working.

Theyskens, because while is life and work is different from mine, i can see myself in him.

Richard Tyler (dont know what happened to him lately) because he made simplified practical clothes with couture quality and technique

However if you are asking this in regards to a previous post , i think the collection has changed somewhat,
I tried channelling a bit of alaia into my work, but somehow intuitively (not sure of the spelling here) i was let away from that.
I am trying to balance my avant garde urges with practical and reasonal design , hopefully i can find a happy and beautiful medium between the two.

also because of my life experiences and world view, I find it difficult to create clothes outside of a certain context, which has become somewhat autobiographical, or at least my perspective on certain socio-political and religious issues (i am a devout christian).
I dont want to divulge too much now, however, when you recieve the invitation to the show you will understand what i am addressing this season, not necessarily in the clothing themselves, but at least in the way the collection is/will be presented.

Gotta go, talk again soon

and Ms Softgrey, its always a pleasure to talk to you.:flower:

Off to church................

i can see the alaia actually in some of your previous stuff...
in the dresses and skirts for sure...
also balenciaga- but more nicolas than cristobal......

i think what happened to richard tyler is that most of his clothes are not wearable...similar to those of the other desighers you mentioned...

don't make the mistake of designing for dolls or mannequins...
real women need to buy and wear these clothes if you want to be/stay in business...

i know you know this and probably do not want to hear it...
but it must be said and you must must must remember this ...
*just don't let that crush your creative spirit...
it is possible to be creative and commercial at the same time...

Well, thanks,
this is what im trying to do.
ultimately the goal is to make things that sell, and are useful to the lives and everyday needs of the customer..
regarding dolls and mannequins.......
I never, and dont want to design for them, I actually loathe the whole celebrity culture than is connected with fashion.
I am trying to design real clothing, which is something i know I can do,
the goal right now is to grow the business right now and make it profitable
