The trick with Zara sizing is that it varies greatly depending on the garment as well as the "grouping" (TRF, Basics, etc.). I might wear a 36 in one pair of trousers and a 38 in another, and I fit into S and M in shirts/jackets. I always have to try everything on, whereas in H&M, for example, my size is quite consistent. As for not finding your size, that often happens because the item is often stocked in limited amounts according to how "sellable" it is considered to be. Zara sales are a dream for very slim girls though; I always find these wonderfully priced clothes in sizes like 34 and XS.
