I went to Zara downtown Montreal and they had the sequined jacket. I think it looks good in real life, but appears to fall kind of flat in pictures.

These shoes are online on the S/S 09 collection ads, but I was wondering if anyone knew when these were going to hit stores:

Oh, now I see the problem! I'm just not in possesion of a fashion-appropriate English Vocabulary! I always thought suede meant patent leather!
You're absolutely right, they are suede!
Every day you learn something new. They're still lovely though.

We had them, but had to take it back to the storage again. Sometimes we just receive a memo to put certain shoes away and that's it. I guess they will reappear in march.

lol, i love learning random new things every day. and it's funny even how different british terms are for clothes than american terms.

here we say "tank top" while the brits call them "vests" ...what we call "vests" they call "waistcoats"...infinite opportunities for confusion!

Now I'm even more confused!
But that's good to know, I don't want to keep on trying to sell vests and vests to Americans when all they want is a waistcoat!

shewar, please provide an image credit for your pictures.

the real isabel marant books are shown in an editorial in the march 2009 issue of elle, if anyone is interested in checking out the real thing.

I saw the sequined jacket, it was GORGEOUS!

It's like £129 here though.

After a dozen calls, I finally tracked down a store that had the jacket. It is really beautiful. The sequins are really small so the jacket is easy to wear (as far as sequin pieces go)! It was $150 cdn. Which is strange, because usually converting pounds to canadian dollars it's more than 2x the price...

Is the purple dress in stores yet? Would be great if they have other colors..

do you mean the one on the left or the strapless one on the right?i know ive seen the one on the left in store it just looks different without the belt...

no, we don't have the strapless one yet. But I think I'll buy it. I guess it will be quite pricey and normally I stay away from strapless because I'm equally gifted in the boob area as Lara Stone, but it looks good on her. we have the new ads in store now and they look marvellous!

Hey Irulan, totally love the strapless one, too! could you let us know when it hits your store, please? thanx a lot in advance! ahhh only the colour is not really my fav.... hope there will be more! in which store do you work btw - kaufinger or weinstr (or any of the others...)? it seems to me that weinstraße gets more of those more pricey and extravagant things.

I'm working in Kaufingerstr. which is by the way in the top ten grossing Zara stores in the world.
Weinstr., where is that one? I only know of Theatinerstr., close to the Fünf Höfe? They get a lot of the Zara studio stuff and it's a bit more pricey. It think that's due to its closeness to Maximilianstr., Theresa and so on.
There's on at Leopoldstr. and in the Riemarcaden and the OEZ.
And of course I'll let you know when the dress hits stores. I hope we will receive it in black as well. I'm as pale as a wall and light purple is not a good colour for me.

thank you very much!! Im totally pale, too, and was also hoping for black :) and sorry, I tend to mix up wein and theatiner, because - how shall I say - the part of the street at marienplatz is called wein and somewhere towards odeonsplatz (at that crossroads probably) it becomes theatiner... stupid me!
and I feel really sorry for you working in that kaufingerstr store... Im wondering how people treat their own stuff whenever I'm working myself through piles of clothes there.... of course, there def are lots of people but someone must have started with just throwing everything back on the table.....

Mostly that's one, really badly educated person that destroys the whole table in the whim of a second!
Oh well, it's my job, I still like it, being around all this clothing.
You're right about Theatiner- und Weinstraße, that's stupid. I think it's Theatinerstr. from the crossroads where Theresa is located. I prefer to do my personal shopping there because it's not so messy and in Leopoldstr. because you really can take your time there, changing rooms are always free. :D
