could somebody please tell them we need some zaras and h&m on the west coast? urban outfitters just isn't cutting it...

true, its very popular all over europe, Zara can pick my mood in a minute, its sheer fun shopping.. of course quality is been reflected in their low prices, but it can be fun

*tip: always buy the most 'expensive' Zara items, they are usually the best in the shop

I am unsure of the street address (it's the Manhattanite in me, LOL) but it is the new bluish colored bulding right on Lexington/Third between 58th and 59th, right next to Bloomies. You can't miss it. I think it['s called Beacon Court.

I wonder if H&M is going to become as ubitquitous as GAP......they already scared me when they opened the store on 34th and 7th, a block away from the store on 34th and 6th....I guess it sells....but be careful, GAP had to scale back/close stores too...and once seemed invincible.

Indeed! But they also do great sales!!! i bought a T-Shirt ONLY 9,90 Euro! Its first price was 49,90 Euro.

I  zara too!!! It's great cause you can shop all the trends at extremely low prices!
I'm from Spain, and we have the cheapest Zaras cause it's from here. And shops are all over the country, every city with more than 100 000 inhabitants has one.
In my city, barcelona, we have aproximately 10 zaras! And it belongs to a company called Inditex, wich has got other shops more specialized: young girl clothing(shop called Stradivarius, and other called Bershka), clothes more sporty (pull & Bear), lingerie and homewear(Oysho) classical clothes (Massimo Dutti).
A lot of people shop in these shops and they're extremely popular here.
Zara has things which are similar to designer clothes, this season for example: some coats and one dress like Marc Jacobs, t-shirts of disney characters like Dolce & Gabbana, a suit like YSL chinoise suits, and a lot of tweeds, retro clothes, trenchs... all you've seen on the catwalks.
I think Zara has this succes because it's the most fashionable and the trendiest of all the cheap shops.
There is an other spanish shop with a similar idea but not as big an important like Zara, Mango, do you know it? Karolina Kurkova is its image now.

PD: I  zara campaign with Hana S! She's my favourite model.

Zara seems like a pretty decent store for both men and women. The website for fall isn't completely done yet. I'm curious to see what they have for men. This stuff doesn't look like it breaks the bank either.

The website is updated for fall now.

I took a look in the store today and saw some interesting things. I'm usually not too thrilled with their menswear...especially their pants as they look cheap. They had this nice faux suede/mercerized wool camel cardigan for only $99. It was quite thick and good for cool/cold days. I didn't pick it up though, but I'm thinking about it. Saw a nice military insprired jacket as well.
Tons of girls were trying/buying the tweed items that dominated the floors......

I had a chance to stop in the new Fifth Avenue store today. It was packed, the entire lower level is mens...some really nice looks, but I still find the materials on most of the items to be very cheap and substandard.

I'll be back when they have 50% off. :)

I'm loving Zara this season, and I've found some fantastic things and very cheap, for example: tweedy mini-skirt only 19 euros, velvet skirts 39 euros, and 19 a cute mini-dress very 70's cashemere-patterned. And more...

checking Zara tomorrow, i'm sure i'll find something cute

Zara in Europe > Zar in the US (just like H&M, Mango, etc...) It's like they design garbage specifically for the US.

I finally gave in a resume, just for randomness. Nothing'll happen, but at least I did it already.

Look out for the great coats this season - i actually think Zara is really good at coats. .....and Prada knock-offs.

I went some days ago, and nothing really liked me! I think they repeat themselves every year!

I think they have more to give

Oh lord
speaking of quality
so I'm out photographing Penn Station in my Zara pants....
there's some construction going on...so obviously plenty of construction workers around....just my luck, the shot that i need requires me to stand with my back to them....turning around, I bend down to set up my tripod....and that's when the quality of Zara pants proved itself to me   Don;t know if anyone noticed...but I heard some masculine giggling going on behind me. Moral of this story...don't make ay sudden movements in Zara clothing.
