what happened to fergie? bad work done? too much botox?
Hello magazine announce that ppl called her boring so she's trying to prove them wrong. my mom asked the same question while we were watching the arrivals and I told her about it and how Sarah Ferguson THEN announced that one of her favorite designers was Dolce & Gabbana. Then when asked what she was wearing, she stated "It's Dolce & Gabbana." She should have gotten someone who knew what they were doing to fix her up, b/c she still looks boring!

My Faves:

+Uma Thurman
+Jaime Lee Curtis
+Kim Cattrall
+Jennifer Garner
+Gwen Stefani (her hair should have been darker)
+Maria Bello
+Hope Davis (i have been in love with that dress ever since the first time I ever saw it on the runway! Go Bill Blass!)
+Debra Messing
+Cate Blanchet

Disliked:

+Sarah Jessica Parker (bland and predictable)
+Renee Zellweger (just an ugly dress)
+Nicole Kidman (she doesn't have hips so she needed a waistline not a hip band, the headband was a no-no, and I didn't like her dress style)
+Eva Mendez (what was that?)
+Sofia Coppola (i know she's a costume designer but she could have done tons better!)
+Scarlett Johansson (her boobs WERE too high and hair was just a tad to light and tight)

Ok:

+Jennifer Lopez (predictable)
+Johnny Depp and girlfriend (very, very, predictable)
+Jennifer Aniston (predictable)
+Catherine Zeta Jones (predictable)
+Brittany Murphy (no color)
+Diane Lane
+Charlize Theron
+Queen Latifah (hair should have been up)
+Maggie Gyllenhaal (love the hair on her)

P.S. Why do Joan and Melissa Rivers get to criticize AND look like crap themselves?!!! Melissa outfit was CRAP!

AND it was chilly that night. they said it before the Golden Globes came on

It was a very smart look for her considering she's a director and producer.

i don't mind sophia's outfit, but "a very smart look for her considering she's a director and producer?" ...

lets call it a difference in taste...but she should dress like that on the job or at a wrap party, not at a black tie event where she's up for some of the biggest honors of the night
First of all at the Golden Globes you don't have to wear a gown or be so formal. Look this year at Renee or Nicole. Plus look at the dress, the detail and shape. Plus coming from Sophia that's accepted. She doesn't dress up too much. Plus if she wore a gown she might drown in it.[/b][/quote]
you edited to add some info... and you brought nicole into the equation...
my response would have been different if I had read what you wrote here

Though i still don't feel her choice was appropriate for the evening, i see your point about Sophia not dressing up too much... What she wore to the Globes reflects her taste and personality, not the fact that she's a director or producer..

As for Nicole, though she's not in a gown, its easy to see she is a lot more 'dressed up' than Renee and Sophia...and i know you don't have to wear a gown or be formal, but you don't have to come to the event dressed for 'sunday brunch' (as chicksonspeed put it)...especially, when its most widely known as being a formal event

Still, she wore what she wore because she liked it...good for her :flower: ... I just don't feel it really fit the occasion

sorry for responding again...its still a matter of opinion...i simply wanted to clarify my stance :flower:

Most impressive new look of the evening to me: Jim Carrey bald! :o

Full photo of Nicole:
A TOTAL DESASTER

NICOLE just looks like a yellow/greenish mixtures of something
she never looks like she knows what she is wearing

why does everyone believe she is so hot and dresses well?? :yuk:

IMO she can try for ever and never have any sex appeal no matter what she wears. and this outfit was just the worst thing ever.
usually stylists know about colors too  what goes well with someones skin color etc.

JLO has sex appeal in that dress. maybe the blue version of it would have been better for her skin color

i dont only look at a dress and say: its pretty/ugly. its an entire look that counts..
just because one wears YSL, GUCCI or CHANEL doesnt mean its suits them :ninja:

SJP looked cute and confident :flower: . the shoes were off though

jennifer garner looked good too

PurpleLucrezia was asking about Maggie Gyllenhaal's dress. She wore this Lanvin, from the Spring 2004 show:

Sad to say, it looks much better on this model here than it did on her.
Pretty and simple, thanks.

Plus the designers of the dresses; Uma Thurman in Versace, Charlize Theron in Dior, Christina Ricci in Madame Gres, Kim Catrall in 60's Valentino.

.. and Nicole Kidman the hot girl "w/o sex appeal" one more time."

i liked cate and jennifer garner best. i've liked nicoles dresses previously but she messed up this time.
paris looks horrible as uusual!
aniston's dress is a little too revealing dont you think?

where's julia roberts? cameron diaz? drew barrymore? liv tyler?

I think none of them attended, saad. :flower: Liv might still be at Paris.

Poor Charlize Theron, she totally missed out on a fashion moment. :( She's wearing one of these low-brow chiffon Dior dresses that are everywhere.

Saad, Jennifer Anniston's dress is just as revealing as Jlo's, but I think it looks much classier because of the cut and colour. I mean there are only so many times you can wear that plunging neckline, but it seems to be her thing and it works.
