It was a very smart look for her considering she's a director and producer.

i don't mind sophia's outfit, but "a very smart look for her considering she's a director and producer?"
...
lets call it a difference in taste...but she should dress like that on the job or at a wrap party, not at a black tie event where she's up for some of the biggest honors of the night
First of all at the Golden Globes you don't have to wear a gown or be so formal. Look this year at Renee or Nicole. Plus look at the dress, the detail and shape. Plus coming from Sophia that's accepted. She doesn't dress up too much. Plus if she wore a gown she might drown in it.[/b][/quote]
you edited to add some info... and you brought nicole into the equation...
my response would have been different if I had read what you wrote here
Though i still don't feel her choice was appropriate for the evening, i see your point about Sophia not dressing up too much... What she wore to the Globes reflects her taste and personality, not the fact that she's a director or producer..
As for Nicole, though she's not in a
gown, its easy to see she is a lot more 'dressed up' than Renee and Sophia...and i know you don't
have to wear a gown or be formal, but you don't
have to come to the event dressed for 'sunday brunch' (as chicksonspeed put it)...especially, when its most widely known as being a formal event
Still, she wore what she wore because she liked it...good for her

...
I just don't feel it really fit the occasion
sorry for responding again...its still a matter of opinion...i simply wanted to clarify my stance
