Agree-- she was so cute when she kissed James when he won. They are mismatched appearance-wise, but they both seem terribly sweet, so I love them together. It proves that nice guys can finish first!

I agree about Christina's appearance. What gets me is that she is so naturally pretty. I wish she would just stop being so costumey all the time and let herself be. She sort of looks like a bad Marilyn/Gwen Stefani impersonator. Even the Olsens guess that Christina was Gwen on MOD when her face was blocked out! She is so talented...she just doesn't need all the bells and whistles.

Loved Christinas performance and Panic at the disco's as well.
Shakiras voice is so bad that I'm glad she didn't win.

christina was amazing, she looked gorgeous and her singing was beyond perfect. talk about a great voice
everybody else s performance was bad imo except for Ok Go . beyonce s so over played i don t see what the hype s all about, we ve seen all that before.
big disapointement from justin, i expected much better both performance and clothes were bad.
pussycat dolls were cute but a bit too tanned
shakira, let s not even go there, the idian theme just doesn t work and the singing,...don t even get me started

Nobody really moved me, the vmas were such a disappoitment. I didnt know half of the people present. Nobody that looked great or decent maybe Nicky Hilton. I kinda liked Pink outfit i guess it fitted with the look she was going for

Beyonce s was pretty but the performance was a total Janet Jackson's rhythm of nation rip off and i did not like the first outfit but i do loooooove the trench i wonder who made it

God I didn't like this show, fashion wise it was terrible, only two or three people looked nice, liked the red dress Christina wore and music and awards wise it sucked! a bunch of people that didn't deserve to win won, I just hate all of those new bands of kids trying to be bad ***, their music really sucks, Panic at the Disco, Fall out boy, The All-American Rejects just to name a few... what a bunch of trash.

Paris - just looked plain stupid!

Coco - needs to tone up her muffin top if she is going to wear those little outfits.

Jessica - Her hair is awful and her wicked eyebrow was in effect.

JLo- she looked like she was channeling Florida Evans from Good Times with that wrap on her head. I did like the boots but not with that outfit.

Christina - she would have looked nice if she would have a 20 year olds hair style instead of a 60 year old womans. - I will be glad when she moves on to her next phase.

Rihanna - she is gorgeous!

I liked Paris Hilton's outfit, even though I totally agree with what Sarah Silverman said. I think Paris was wearing Chanel Couture, but I could be wrong.
I do know that Lou Reed, a god of rock, was wearing a John Galliano Homme shirt and that the guitarist for Panic at the Disco was wearing some Dior Homme pieces, such as the waistcoat and shirt and ruffledesque bow tie creation that Hedi came up with for Autumn/Winter 06/07.
Jennifer Lopez has offcially gone out of her mind. How did Mark Antony let her leave the house like that? What ever you feel comfortable in I suppose.

I really am thanking the high heavens that I had something to do last night, as oppose to watching the show from top to bottom (aka I recorded it while I was gone and skipped through parts that might be interesting when I came back home).



My Review: Performers I watched ~


Christina Aguilera - I thought both dresses were lovely. Yet it pains me to say that Christina has become very repetitive, its as if she's suffering from Stefaniasm (ie- Gwen Stefani and her always a given animal print ensembles).


Performance: Ehh...I read that she was getting over a cold so I didn't expect her voice to be in top form but it still was too pitchy for my personal liking and her voice lacked emotion. Lastly it seemed out of place, sorta like it should have been a performance saved for the Grammy's.


Red Carpet Look: Grade: A - Performance Ensemble: Grade: B Performance: C.


Beyonce: I liked the red carpet dress. Of course its typical Bey/Mama Knowles with all the bedazzled jewels and such. The performance: *sigh* I thought I was watching an episode of Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? I just wasn't impressed. It didn't help that she did a blatant Michael Jackson Captain E.O. rip-off (or more known Janet's Rhythm Nation as previously mentioned). Ring the alarm? Nooooooo


Red Carpet Look: B- Performance Ensemble: C. Based on me being Confused. Performance: D for Dumb.


Justin Timberlake: Paging Michael Jackson: Both songs were atrocious but I did like JT & Timbalands little around the globe foot move at the end..that was kinda cute. I was surprised about how much Timbo moved around, its obvious that him and Justin have much better chemistry than him and Nelly Furtado.


Red Carpet Look: B Performance Ensemble: B Performance: F for Falsetto. JT. stop worrying about bringing sexy back and focus on bringing 'back' your limited vocals.


Shakira: She looked pretty on the red carpet...simple but pretty. The hair extentions were sorta too heavy looking at different angles however. The performance: Shakira's hips definitely didn't lie but her voice sure did. I liked the Bollywood theme and even her and Wyclef's (who was lipsynching for some odd reason his verses) chemistry. It was a nice performance and even though I dissed Shaki's voice I can take that back since I already knew that her voice is the equivalent to sandpaper. Bless her heart.

Fergie: I thought Fergie looked rather cute in her second ensemble. The performance: I don't care much for the song but a good showing for someone who is used to singing with others (BEP, Wild Orchid, et cetera).

Lauren Conrad ~ Ehh...She looks decent but in all honesty I have seen her look better on 'The Hills' when I have tuned in out of boredom.


Maria Menudos ~ She looked pretty. There's nothing special about the dress however.


Ashley Parker Angel ~ Get a haircut!. We all know that you are no longer in a boy band but still it doesn't mean that you have to walk around with a mop head putting up the horns.


Whitney Port ~ The top of the dress is lovely, the rest not so much.


Tanika Ray ~ She's so freakin' cute - unfortunately while I am loving those shoes they do not match the bits of blue in her dress.


Heidi Montag ~ She looked pretty.


Audrina Patridge ~ Cute.


Damian Fahey ~ Its a bit too serious looking for someone who is a TRL host but alrighty.


Real World Cast Members ~ Um..Atleast the girls did try to look as if they were going to be photographed at a awards show that is popular (why I don't know since its went down hill since '00' but thats a different story).


Susie Castillo ~ She looked pretty.


Kelis ~ A V-neck on the dress would have looked better (imo) but overall she looks good.


Ludacris ~ I'm still on the fence as it pertains to Luda cutting his hair but he looks good regardless.


Danity Kane ~ Individually I thought all the girls looked nice.


Audrina Patridge ~ Cute.


Mario Vazquez ~ He looked nice.


Lala ~ I think this is the best she has ever looked. However points deducted for her breasts fighting for air.


Vanessa Minnillo ~ Ehh..Not a good look. That dress looks like Mama Knowles got her hands on it and went crazy with a hot glue gun.


Petra Nemcova & James Blunt ~ I liked Petra's dress though I am not a fan of bag looking dresses, the head chain is a no-no however. James looked okay I guess, a contrast to Petra. On the plus side they both look really happy so Yay! for them.


Monica ~ Great dress and shoes. Not so sure why she brought her dog to the show, then again I'm not so sure why she insists on rocking blonde hair when she looks best with her natural hue.


Hulk & Brooke Hogan ~ I am so tired of Hulk doing that stupid 'Here's my _____ (insert wife or daughter) on a platter' pose. *sigh* Poor Brooke she rarely ever looks good as it pertains to her fashion nor does she look her age (18). Its unfortunate that she doesn't have anyone to help her out on the elements of her career. Bless her little heart.


Mario ~ Po' Baby trying to go for a too grown and sexy look. Sorry Boo-Boo wrong ensemble and time. Its really okay youngin's to look youthful after all it (youth) doesn't last long.


Amy Lee ~ She is quite lovely (imo) yet... WE GET IT!! . Lets go for something besides jet black...kthanx.


Paris Hilton ~ I refuse to believe that she looked in the mirror and said 'Thats Hot!'...


Nicky Hilton ~ Nice shoes. I would have liked the ensemble better without the adornment plastered in the middle.


Ciara ~ Cici has really been looking great as of late, especially with her darker tresses, yet this look falls short of great and is more like okay. The dress really does nothing for her shape, she needs something with a cinch in the waist or else she will look like she's built straight up and down.


Sarah Silverman ~ She's a cute girl. Nothing special about what she is wearing though I didn't expect much so..whatever.


Ice-T & Coco ~ Aww...Looks like Ice let Coco take the night off. I kidd...I kidd.



The Rock ~ Oh No...He's not looking too hot.


Pink ~ Wow! She looks great.


Leonor Varela ~ Pretty girl its just too bad I can't say the same (pretty) about the dress.


Rihanna ~ She looked/is beautiful. My best dressed of the night. Its fun & flirty and age & show appropriate.


Jessica Simpson ~ The hell? I thought (WWE) Smackdown was on Friday. A mess. The only redeemable thing about Jess's look is the haircut. Bless her little heart.


Jennifer Lopez ~ Oh so thats whats hot on the block, Jenny? Lmao. She has always been so very overrated when it comes to style. I really cannot find any +'s about her look not even the boots. Tis' a shame. *looks again* Alright I do like the clutch.


Marc Anthony ~ There really are no words...


BEP (Guys) ~ Whatever...Its them so it works.


Nick Lachey ~ I don't know whats left of him nor do I care but I can assure everyone that he had something left in his closet that was better than that.


Diddy ~ What? Not even Diddy could pull off a decent look? What is in the VMA water this year?

Chris Brown ~ Why? This makes me weep for Usher.


John Legend- It seems like he is always wearing the same white suit and they weren't even in Miami this year.


Oliver Kahn & Verena Kerth ~ He doesn't look too bad...


Tomo Milicevic, Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, Matt Wacher ~ I've never found the swoon worthy vibe pertaining to Jared. I just always thought he had beautiful eyes which is still the case even under pounds of liquid eyeliner.


Lil Kim ~ I'm not crazy about the corset but the rest was nice.


Queen latifah - I refuse to bow down to that mess.


Andre 3000 - Okay..


T.I. ~ He's a cutie.


The Pussycat Dolls ~ Who gave this girls glitter and glue sticks? My eyes...


Nicole Ritchie ~ She looked nice, though I would have opted for a simple necklace with the dress.

I get it - you’re an unconventional awards show! This is true, and I thank you everyday for allowing the viewing public a glance at one of Lil’ Kim’s exposed breasts, complete with Smurf-coloured pastie and all. No, no really, thank you – If it wasn’t for your censorship, we likely would have seen both breasts, and my Dr. said that the temporary blindness I was experiencing could have been significantly worse.

But lately, the “stars” and “celebrities” seem to think that they are dressing for a rehearsal for Cher’s Farewell tour rather than an awards show. This is not the Oscars, I know, but there is absolutely no excuse for Madonna’s 1981 Like a Virgin outfit to be yanked from some old closest and worn by a pigeon-resembling-“that’s-hot!”-rambling heiress So, I thought I would help. Here’s how to improve the fashion situation at next year’s show...

#1. Introduce a Shine per Style (SPS) Limit
This new rule will keep the amount of outfits vomited on by cubic-zirconia to a minimum. This year’s offenders: Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles, & Christina Aguilera. Though, if you really want to enforce this new rule, you may have to imprison Ms. Tina Knowles herself – her love of anything that shines puts her at the greatest risk of becoming a repeat offender.

2. Skip the “S” Section when writing the Invitations
Right there, you can easily rid of 3 fashion-disasters: Jessica Simpson, Ms. Spears and the most trash-tacular of all the DH, Nicolette Sheridan.

#3. Kidnap and Enslave Rachel Zoe
Sure, all the celebrities will turn out as mini-Zoes, complete with the “extremity” complex – extremely skinny, extremely tanned, extremely trendy. But, Nicole Ritchie looked absolutely adorable in a white stunner, complete with ruffle neckline and trim and accessorizing with a large, oversized gold necklace. It was what Sandra Oh had attempted at the Emmys – key word: “attempted”. This Zoe Plan will, at a minimum, keep the visual corrosiveness of Paris, Brooke Hogan, and Lil' Kim away.
