First, thank you to all those who posted pictures: I love you guys.

Now... this year was such a C-list event, I really feel bad for the Academy that they have to fill seats with people like Miley Cyrus and other what-her-namers.

The gowns were mostly a bore fest with a few highlights:

Katherine Heigl, who just realised a long-term dream of being Kansas City College homecoming queen
Marion, who wore a ridiculous dress but still managed to be ridiculously good-looking
Penelope, who won... at life, because she's dating that sizzling hot slice of chorizo called Javier (watch Jamon, jamon if you don't get the reference). Dress was alright, if you're into feather marabous.
Cate, who for the first time of her life, looked ordinary to me. Maybe I need to see her live because she was so forgettable in pictures.
And, of course, the Queen herself, Tilda. Those who bi*** about her not being pretty, made up or glamorous really don't get the point. She was the most extraordinary looking woman at the event. Not the most beautiful (Tilda looks are quite beyond the concept of beauty), not the best dressed, not glamorous at all, but her presence is just extraordinary.
Edit to add: Jennifer Hudson is repulsive and Mrs Whitaker is indeed super stunning.
Yawn to all the other attendees.

[Yes i saw it and found it really awful.. I didn't read much about her but more about the movie getting hype about the director and not her, that's what I'm saying. IMHO she's a pretty awful actress, although she is beautiful and I think she looks gorgeous at the academy awards./QUOTE]

Oh no!you find her awful?!to be fair Ive only seen her in that film and thought she turned in a great perfomance towards the end of the movie..each to their own though!
