I love Portia, Charlize, Natalie and Claire Danes. Kate Hudson reminds me of Britney in some of the pictures. Jennifer Garner looks nice but she always seems to go for similiar looking dresses. Scarlett's hair and makeup is equisite but I don't like the material or colour of that dress.Judging by these pictures there don't seem to have been any major disasters,except maybe Megan M. Would have liked to see less black and more colour.

I don't think showing your 'stomach' is a part of a new trend. many people have attempted it unsuccessfully in the past. Mischa's actually works and thats hard to do.

Natalie Portman. Claire Danes dress is so pretty up close.

Natalie Portman's dress is actually right up her alley - it's something she'd totally wear. I love the bottom half of her dress (the black bit is actually a belt - I saw her pulling it back down when she got up to get her award), including the belt, but I wish the top'd been a LITTLE tighter and less loose, or like the way it was, but with a few adornments to liven it up a bit.

And for the person who asked, Mischa's dress is a vintage Louis Azzaro couture creation according to Eonline.com.
Scarlett's dress is by Roland Mouret.
Nicole Kidman's dress is by Chanel (eonline) - so is it Gucci or Chanel?

i think mischa is looking quite thin as well, or maybe its just the dress. i know she has a thin frame normally but she looks tiny around the waist!

i quite like natalie portmans dress, although i think it would ha\/e been better shorter, sorta a flapper feel to it
