62nd Annual Golden Globes

Orlando Bloom and his sister Samantha attend the Miramax 2005 Golden Globes After Party at Trader Vics.

^ That's not his sister babe, his sister is older than him :flower:

And it wasn't Gisele with Leo, I watched extra closely last night because I remembered someone mentioning the kiss - and it was his mother. From the side she did look similar, she has the same tone hair/nose as Gisele.

minnie driver: did she ever look sexier? i'm so surprised....

Yes she does look so sexy doesn't she?

I actually like Diane Keaton's jacket and white shirt combo.

The color of Cate Blanchett looks beautiful on her. The rest of the dress is ok.

I love Nicole Kidman's dress color and it looks so sexy from the back...but her hair could have been better. She looked best on the red carpet with a flowing mane of red hair.

Charlize's dress is amazing. I think she looks good with dark hair - but not with the dark dress. Either that dress and blond hair or a lighter dress and darker hair.

Kate Hudson's dress is stunning except for..., and everyone is going to disagree with me but that hole in the front made the dress look cheap IMO.

Clint Eastwood has a beautiful family!

Mischa actually looks beautiful...and I usually don't like her!

Teri Hatcher - Damn - Can I have a body like that when I am 40?

Bijou Phillips looks so pretty with her hair blown straight!
Rachel Bilson & Diane Lane:heart:

i think nicolette sherridan is trying to challenge a certain nasty old man>

i'm not into the beanpole look...
this woman needs a sandwich...real women have curves... ;) :D

Well from the neck down, Nicole Kidman looks exactly like my mother, and let me tell you, she is a REAL woman!
Thin is real, and she has curves. Heck, if I had a few more curves and were 5 inches taller I'd look the same too!

Uh....anyway. Emmy Rossom looks very pretty, as per usual....Mischa Barton looks soooo lovely! I normally don't like those sort of dresses that look like a connected 2 peice, but she wear it so well. And her hair and makeup look gorgeous! Seriously, if anyone knows how they did that, PM me and I    you forever! I think that's a question a lot of people are going to want to know the answer to though! I can't understand how so many people don't think she's beautiful!

Ummmm....Charlize should have kept her longe blonde hair...yeah. No one else outstanding or anything.

This is terrible!

Emmy Rossum. I hated it. I hate her. I hate Ralph Lauren and whats so wonderful about that dress? Please someone tell me. I look at it and I get fashion deja vu.
Totally agree and the expression just makes it worse.
Johnny Depp is so lovely.

Who made Naomi Watts' and Claire Danes' dresses? Couldn't find any info on them...

Does Marisa Tomei ever age? Sheesh, she looks so fresh and youthful!

haha, Mr Rue Faubourg! your post made me laugh out loud....esp your Saab/Saab comment......! it's true tho, why was no one wearing Saab? Sheridan has dented his reputation.

I'm pretty sure Naomi's dress is Valentino couture. Valentino seemed to be the lead designer this year at the Globes.

I  Uma's dress!!! She wears the most gorgeous dresses and I guess it works because she has such a tall built! Why can I NEVER find any of her dresses on the runway?

I guess the trend at the Golden Globes was not getting something off the runway, but getting a dress custom made:

It isn’t enough that celebrities get first pick at designer clothes that haven’t even hit stores yet; now they’re asking for custom-made creations too — and we don’t mean necessarily couture. While the fashion quotient at this year’s Golden Globes was impressive, it was the number of one-of-a-kind gowns that garnered the real buzz. Custom-made dresses are clearly becoming de rigueur for Tinseltown’s crop of fashion darlings. The Daily smells an evolving red-carpet trend.

Scarlett Johansson, Uma, Emmy Rossum, Catherine Walker, Minnie Driver, Nicole Kidman, Teri Hatcher, and Hilary Swank all had gowns made for them.

This year's Golden Globes is a triumph for Valentino. He dressed: Jennifer Garner (vintage couture), Claire Danes (couture), Kate Winslet, Halle Berry (SS05), Portia de Rossi (SS05).

Did anyone wear Chanel?

My favorite of the night was prob. Nicole Kidman (Gucci), but I woudn't call it outstanding. I wanted to see crimson lips with that dress. But this is def. the most interesting gown she's worn since wearing Pucci @ Cannes last year. The color is elegant, but the peacock feather reminded me of Prada's awful SS05 collections. Anyway, I am surprised that she still wears Gucci after Tom Ford left.

Looked Good But Not Spectacular:

Uma Thurman (Dior), Naomi Watts (Valentino), Cate Blanchett (Jean Paul Gaultier), Jennifer Garner (Valentino), Kate Winslet (Valentino)

Not That Great:

Charlize Theron (Dior) - the colors of the hair and the gown simply don't go together. And she doesn't have enough personality to pull off such a simple gown.

Natalie Portman (Chloe) - makes her look even shorter.

Mischa Barton (Azzaro) - I maybe the lone voice, but she looks washed out.

Hilary Swank (Calvin Klein) - boring.

Scarlett Johansson (Roland Mouret) - Hollywood's current It Girl has too many yes people around her to know where her physical flaws are. She ended up looking like a sausage.

Kate Hudson (Versace) - she sure is pretty, but doesn't anyone find the choker, along with the keyhole, trashy?

Plain Bad:

Renee Zellweger (Carolina Herrera) - not having any real fashion sense means you don't know when to stop. The simple strapless LBD looks beyond boring on her. Raven hair and pale skin are about as unflattering as it gets.

Claire Danes (Valentino) - you know something's seriously wrong when your Valentino couture looks like a cheap prom dress.

Portia de Rossi (Valentino) - I knew this Valentino would end up on the red carpet somewhere, but it's so plain and boring.

Teri Hatcher (Donna Karan) - I like the tan and curls, but the gown's so messy. The table-linen hems weighted down her tiny frame.

Diane Kruger - nuff said. Fashion police will have a field day with this.
