68th Annual Golden Globe Awards - 2011 - #2

what? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT????
social network.... its movie about freaking facebook....
Actually, it's not really. They just used Facebook as a template. I think it's a worthy winner from the nominees.

Black Swan was well-made, but highly derivative.
Inception was not that original.

Now The King's Speech...I personally think should've won. Biopics are usually so generic, but this was a very interesting approach to that type of film.

Agree with you guys.. I thought The Social Network was an interesting, well made film.. but really? movie of the year?

^^^right! I forgot about Inception! now I´m so pissed about TSN winning the award...
The only award it deserved winning was Best Score, go Trent!

So the Social Network. I still haven't watched it (I have it on my computer but I just can't be bothered) I guess I better now.

I want to see The Fighter so bad and going to see The Kings Speech this weekend.

PS they are interviewing the winners on E! right now and celebs leaving the hotel.

I thought the Social Network was by far the best movie, though I loved the Black Swan too. . . I think Darren Aronofsky had too much fun with mirrors and Inception was good, but overly complicated.

Natalie totally deserved the award, though honestly, I did not watch Rabbit Hole. . .

It was a really good year for films, in general, I think. an awesome season

why the hate on Glee? that's such a great show with interesting and fun stories. yes, it's sometimes over the top, but I happen to love musicals so I am sooo happy for their wins

as for the social network, I just saw that movie last night, and I don't get the hype that this movie receives aside from the fact that it is about facebook. It was a good movie but worthy of all these awards? especially over movies like King's Speech and Black Swan? If they win at the Oscar's I'll know it is a sham.

As for my best and worst dressed
BEST
women: Jennifer Lawrence, hands down best of the night.
men: Ryan Gosling or RDJ - just because well, he's awesome lol

Worst
women: Jennifer Love Hewitt

The Social Network is a brilliant film. It deserves every award it wins.
Although, I would not have minded if The King's Speech had won.

Best for me - January then Angelina then Anne. Those 3 were just WOW.

Everyone else looked great tonight. There weren't many tragedies.

Worst was - Michelle Williams which I'm sad about but what do you expect when you wear a gross Valentino.

Standouts for me were Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, Claire Danes, Anne Hathaway, and though no one seemed to notice her, Julie Bowen.

Worst hands down was JLH.

I wanted to jump on the January Jones bandwagon but all I saw was boobs. Made the dress look too trashy for me. Loved the bottom part though.

Kaley Cucco presenting that award to Jim Parsons is THE HIGHLIGHT FOR ME. Her voice broke as she was saying his name.....it was the most precious thing ever.

I'm surprised no one is really talking about Jayma Mays. I thought she looked really nice. Simple but chic. Liked Claire Danes and Leighton Meester (surprisingly -- I usually hate beige). Helen Mirren looked hot, per usual. She's a walking advertisement on how you age better if you haven't had kids. Liked Jennifer Lawrence. Like Alexa Chung.

All in all, though, I thought there were no real standouts (except HBC). Boring. And a lot of women were wearing very minimal jewelry or no jewelry at all. Usually the awards shows have a ton of bling. But there wasn't any. And I felt that some jewelry could've been helpful on some. A bit plain all around.

Oh my god, The Kings Speech is an extrodinary movie. Geoffrey and Colin have amazing chemistry and Helena is fabulous. It should have one best picture.
But, The Social Network is very smart and deserving too. Especially for Aaron and David.

Are all the people who are hating on The Social Network people who have also seen the movie???

I watched The Fighter last night... SO glad Christian Bale and Melissa Leo won - excellent performances by both.

I have access to the screeners for Black Swan and The King's Speech to watch... must get to them and beginning making my Oscar predictions! Though of course the results will be fairly similar to what we saw tonight.

And I'm SO happy Claire Danes one. She is one of my favorites style-wise tonight. I just thought she looked sensational.
