68th Annual Golden Globe Awards - 2011 - #2

My absolute favorite was Emma Stone! She was a stunner in that peachy dress and she should never go back to her red hair! She rocks the blonde!

Social Network is so forgettable. It felt like a 2 part made-for-TV special.

TEN BEST DRESSED

1. Emma Stone - runaway number one. There were a few good looks tonight (surprisingly) but this girl stole the show for me. Just so chic, elegant, sexy, beautiful, classy, and everything else you can think of.

2. Anne Hathaway - I thought she was my favorite of the night until I saw Emma. Still, Anne should be incredibly proud of her look, these chic Armani gowns should be her 'thing' forever.

3. Claire Danes - ugh, how I long for this trend to come back again. I'm so tired of the over decorated Marchesa, etc gowns. Claire and Emma above were such a breath of fresh air.

4. Sandra Bullock - the hair is a questionable choice but I'm fully on board with this dress. Sandra's becoming quite a fashionista after her amazing run last year.

5. Amy Adams - I just said I was sick of these type of Marchesa gowns, I know, but here she gets it just right. And the color was just perfect on Amy.

6. Melissa Leo - can you believe this woman is fifty years old!!! That's how you make it sexy, classy and age-appropriate. She's putting to shame a lot of these 20 year olds.

7. Halle Berry - unfortunately I think it comes across a bit cheap in pictures but I thought it looked so simple and sexy on TV. Halle barely does wrong in my book.

8. Megan Fox - the tats and all the plastic surgery on the face nearly ruined this look but the dress was too gorgeous and too tastefully done for me to pass up on it.

9. Hailee Steinfeld - what a fresh choice for a dress and a fresh look overall. I'm glad there are still 14 year olds who aren't in a rush to look sl*tty.

10. Leighton Meester - when I first saw pictures of this I thought 'trying too hard, again' but she won me over when I saw her presenting. What an interesting and inspiring choice to go this direction instead of what mostly everyone else is doing.

Honorable Mention. Eva Longoria - I usually HATE what she wears to the red carpet because she normally wears fussy dresses that do nothing for her petite frame. This choice doesn't step too far off her comfort zone but it's simple enough that it works.

DISAPPOINTMENTS
1. Mila Kunis - girl get it together and give us some wow factor here.
2. Jennifer Lawrence - girl, take advantage of this opportunity, stop boring us.
3. January Jones - ditch Versace until Donatella starts designing pretty dresses again.
4. Helen Mirren - that hair, all that jewelery, that color, all wrong.
5. Heidi Klum - you're a model, you should be able to make anything look good.

I have seen both The King's Speech and The Social Network and I wanted the KIng's Speech to win as I found it way more profound and moving and richer...great that Colin Firth won though! Didn't watch the ceremony as I'm working today with Panda eyes - feeling like I was missing the wooow moments all in all...and Michelle Williams....wtf? honestly I am still shocked that she chose such a terrible dress...my grandmother's cousin older sister would have chosen something more appropriate to the Globes, daisies on a dress?

:heart:January was the most spectacular for me - hands down!

then I liked Anne, CZJ, Jennifer Lawrence, Claire Danes Emma Stone if it wasn't for that terrible tangooed-misfortune, little Hailee looked okay albeit a bit boring, I liked Mila Kunis as well and well, Leighton for her bold choice ...

:ninja:the other ladies were okay or worse :innocent:

though there might be some exceptions in the second category that I forgot right now due to my missing sleeping hours :innocent:

angelina & anne hathaway made the best appearances i think ^_^

LOL, Emma's tan ruined absolutely everything for me. Best dressed were Olivia Wilde, Anne Hathaway, and Angelina Jolie.

Inception deserves something at least don't you think?

I thought Inception is the best of the best till the moment I watched Social Network. As someone has already mentioned, this movie is brilliant, and every single dialogue is genius.

But I still didn't watch Black Swan, The King’s Speech and The Fighter, so it's hard to judge.

January Jones was easily the best dressed. Some other ladies dressed well but unfortunately for them their looks don't stick around in my memory for too long.

I think Nicole Kidman looked beautiful.

nicole did look great but she should lay off botox for a while....

If Inception had been out later in the year I'm sure things would have been different.

To be honest, I anticipated Inception so much that I was kinda disappointed when I finally watched it. What's about Social Network, I know it's gonna be well-done, but I'm not that one who's always in love with Fincher's aesthetics, his movies are hit / miss for me. But Social Network... Just perfect, definitely my cup of tea.

A beautiful red carpet! ^_^

It's such a pity that Vanessa wasn't with Johnny (she would have been amazing as always!)... but it was impossible for her to be there since she's currently on tour in France... :(

I was thoroughly surprised when The Social Network won!! Wonderful movie, but not on the same level as the others. I've seen all the movies that were nominated for best picture - drama and it should've gone to The King's Speech or Black Swan. Hands down. I'm sure they'll get their recognition at the Oscars though.
