Well, they're all wearing the same dress so there isn't that much change ;)

I couldn't put my finger on Vanessa's dress. Then, a ha!

Just popping my head in to say...-
-Dear lord Clive Owen has gotten unimaginably hot.
oh yes B)

I love Jamie Fox, and it's wonderful that he won and he fully deserved it, but I still wish Don Cheadle has gotten the oscar

Just wanted to say how glad I was that Eternal Sunshine won Best Original Screenplay!

i'm disappointed with chris rock...i adore him and i guess i expected much more from him....i think he could have done a much better job...aside from a couple of good jokes...he really didn't create many memorable moments...

I'm sad that Hotel Rwanda didn't get anything though

I did love Chris Rock's interviews with a whole slew of people who hadn't seen any of the Best Picture nominations, I thought it was just...hilarious, I'm still laughing...

But Chris did horrible- but did u here Barbera Strestand w/that bernie remarke.

everybody i was rooting for...did not win lol
i'm sick of those generic strapless 'mermaid' dresses (except for gwyneth)

Everytime I see Charlize's dress all I think of is the Chanel dress Diane Kurger wore to Cannes. It's very similar, because of the color, the feather/ruffles and the train. To be honest I prefer the Chanel to both the Dior and Rocha.

Let's see, firstly the good outfits. Kirsten Dunst looked cute, I liked the black lace effect at the top of the dress but wasn't thrilled with the bottom. It was nice to see a change though, as others have said, from the same cut of that mermaid dress. Speaking of which, Renee Zellwegger looked dreadful, but I've never liked her much anyhow. Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow both of whom I don't like as actresses, or as personalities, did look great though. I actually really liked Charlize Theron's dress, it was slightly over-the-top and full of frills and that nice blue colour, and it was different from the typical row of identical dresses. I thought she looked better with darker hair, and I'm glad that Gwyneth Paltrow was also slightly more adventurous with the slight wave to her hair. Who else? Zang Zhi was adorable, I honestly wasn't thrilled with her dress itself, but she carried herself well and spoke with elegance. She said like two lines with an accent, but she seemed less glitzy than the rest of the actresses there, and gave a little half-curtsey when giving out the award. Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis were awesome as well, I'm liking them more, and admiring them more, both separately and as a couple as time goes on. They're so different, but incredibly pulled-together in some way too.
As for the dislikes... mostly just Beyonce and her dreadful, huge hulking dresses and heavily applied, glittering eyeshadow and equally matched singing. Ugh. And Scarlett Johanson, who I also just hate for some reason, she just has this "thing" of constantly annoying the heck out of me. Like how she stood on that balconey, and her left arm kept on jiggling, hah. Hilary Swank as well, and Clint Eastwood. Both of whom I don't actually hate and who seem decently intelligent, and produced some good work, but really, I am just getting so beyond sick of them. Honestly- if I hear her proclaiming that man's alleged brilliance one more time, I think I'll try socking her myself.
The rest of the show was decent, nothing too interesting. Chris Rock wasn't particularly funny, but I have actually never really liked any of the hosts that I've seen so far. They don't seem to make me laugh that much and don't move me. The show seemed quietly this year and I didn't like the format of having everyone line up for the early awards. Kind of embarassing for the lost nominees and sort of as if they were consciously being pushed to the sidelines. One thing though, I am so beyond glad that Cate Blanchett won! ayayayya... Although, she should not have been seated beside Gisele. As great as Leo is and as much as he ought to deserve to have her there, at the Academy Awards, you just do not seat the actress from The Aviator and Elizabeth and Veronica Guerin and Charlotte Gray, beside- what? Taxi and Victoria's Secret shows.

sorry but i think drew looked HORRIBLE. hair too dark, skin too ghostly white. someone with strong features like Catherine ZJ can pull off the strong eyes and lips look but not Drew :S

...thank galliano for the resurgence of the strapless mermaid dress....
Galliano? Mermaid dress? I thought he's doing bubble maternity dresses now? Unless it'll return in his F/W shows?

Personally, I was never a fan of Chris Rock... Therefore him sucking was of no suprise. He was terribly lame! Everyone I wanted to win, didn't! Hilary, the horse that she is, looked amazing! Scarlett truly disappointed me with that fuzzy hair do! Charlize looked BLAH! Beyonce shocked me with her beautiful voice, didn't know she had it in her!! She looked beautiful! Cate was a class act as always... Ok enough with the mermaid strapless dresses! Johnny rocks!!!! God I know I'm missing something! Haven't seen million dollar baby, so I can't comment! Jamie made me cry, I'm shocked! Good for him (still thinking of the jamie fox show, who would have thought???) Is it just me or do you think hilary has an oscar too many? I know I'm mean!! Natalies dress is truly gorgeous!!!! The show was boring, but at least it got by faster then usually! I would have liked to see Martin win for best director since he has been ROBBED so many times! Ok vent done!
