sometimes they sell colors at the store that they don't offer online, you could call to check.

I don't know if this is old news, but for those of you in USA, I just saw urbanoutfitters.com is carrying a.p.c madras. http://search.urbanoutfitters.com/?q=a.p.c.

also about the apc striped tees and quality - I have 2 from spring 2009 and i think they are holding up very well (just like all my apc). i either hand wash or machine wash gentle and never put my nicer clothing in the dryer.

Last week I bought my first APC Petit Standard Jeans! They're soooo stiff, it's hell to put them on and feels very awkward to walk around in them. But I'll guess that'll be over soon and then they'll look awesome :woot:

The sales guy in the shop in Antwerp was really nice, and I also got a free bag with it! It's made in the same material as the jeans.

^ cute bag, i have always wanted to try APC jeans but I have had some very bad experiences with raw denim, it seemed to rub off on all of my clothes...

I just got this APC dress. The picture shows the blue version but I got the black one. Super happy!!!

^ that is a lovely dress, i saw the black version on la garconne, it is nicer than the blue I think

I love that dress, thinking of getting it too. :)

The rest of the aw collection is up on the site now. It looks amazing. The styling is spot on - no awkward frumpiness this year!

has anyone noticed how much more expensive APC is on Net a porter compared to the APC website and la Garconne?

their online shop seems to sell out so quickly!! like in a matter of days...
i just noticed that this pair of boots
I was thinking about buying were like $200 (new zealand dollars) more on net a porter than anywhere else

I've just bought this navy parka from A.P.C. from their A/W 10/11 line and I think most of you are familiar with this piece as it's an A.P.C. classic released for every A/W season.

I really like this parka and I've wanted to buy it since 3-4 A/W seasons ago but I was always late (they're outsold pretty fast!), and/or bought something else instead each time.

Well, not this time. "This is finally it!" I said to myself and went down to my favourite shop and took it home with me for $560. I've not used it yet as it hasn't really been that cold in Denmark yet but just when I was rearranging my closet earlier today I found a minor flaw on the jacket and the stitching in some areas was not done quite well, especially on the removable fur lining.

I'm quite disappointed with the quality and I can't believe A.P.C. being this "casual" on a $560 piece . The jacket seems quite fragile and I don't think it will hold for more than a season or two. However, maybe I'm too judgemental because how can I be sure when I've not used it yet? But then again, if I take it in use I'm not entitled to deliver it back...It's a dilemma.

Do some of you have any experience with this particular parka and have you had issues with it during your ownership?

^I like this parka a lot!

I've wanted to buy the woman's version for the past couple of seasons but, like you, everytime I came up with the money it was already sold-out.

One thing I noticed trying it on last year was that the fleece tended to "shed" a lot otherwise it seemed pretty decent quality wise.

But it sure is expensive so I'd hate it if even a button started falling apart after a bit of wear.

has anyone bought their Ballerines before? I'm in love with a pair but I'd like to know how they fit and do they hurt when walking...I've had bad experiences with APC's shoes before so... thanks!!

Sorry that i can not comment on this parka, but i have owned many apc pieces including some outwear and do sometimes find stray threads or puckering or think the fabric a bit delicate, but they always wear really well. most things are made in developing countries so I don't think the quality is top notch, but for me, for the price, the classic styles and fit (apc usually looks good on me) are hard to find.

I also have a question about the quality of their knit sweaters (I've only ever had their cotton tops). Do their knits tend to last? I have been thinking about getting the Birkin patch sweater, its 100% marino wool with suede elbow patches.

I have some wool cardigans from 2 or 3 years ago that i still wear alot. there has been some pilling but not as much as from other brands of wool sweaters. mine aren't merino, so i would think the merino would wear even better. hth.

^ thanks for the advice, I think they would make a good buy then. I never know how much to spend on sweaters as the quality tends to vary so much from brand to brand.
