A Retrospective: Gucci & Yves Saint Laurent under Tom Ford (1995-2004)

Those last dresse with the metal pieces are so stunning. They're so clean, fresh and feminine and till this day original and wearable.

i'd say 80% of that collection is still wearable, fresh, sexy to this date and wouldn't look dated.

the blouse with the pants.... that's iffy and VERY "early Gucci". outerwear, perfectly wearable. only the shoes would need to get changed.

Spring Summer 1997 (I don't know what the actual order is for the looks since Firstview has them all mixed up)

ugh, those super simple mini dresses.... so gorgeous. so clean. so sexy. so crisp and sharp.

and damn, that guy in the Gucci got some balls... (or not? :shifty::lol:)

There is simply nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about the innovation, creativity, and quality of his garments, but I have to add- the styling of his shows were always impeccable; spot on and truly flawless. The hair and makeup always added to the mood of the show and the personality of the Gucci or YSL "woman," and the nothing was ever overly styled (which, in my opinion, mars so many current runway shows). He was- is- the King of Simplicity.
