hmmm you also have to remember that agencies eat up a large part of what the girls are earning hence they say models are underpaid right?

the rule is the clients must pay 5% of the contract amount to the agency. plus the models must give away 5% of the amount of her contract the agency. but models like adriana and gisele have negotiations privileges . gisele for exemple don't have to pay any % of her contracts to her agency. only her clients have pay it. if Adriana pays her agency it must be something close to nothing

New VS beauty contract that was more than Maybelline so say 3-4 million a year
Then you have the Doritos contract, Givenchy Campaign, Deal or no Deal appearance, Ugly betty appearance, esp the extra money she got to do the biofit tour, and miracle bra campaigns on top of her vs contract...
I've added it up before, I'm guessing she averages 12 million a year.

Esp since some models argue with the statistics saying they make less or more. So, that in itself says a lot.

because it was publicized-they get paid for big campaigns. She got extra money for the biofit and miracle bra campaign. Plus someone from Turkey, who has special contacts did confirm she got paid for the show...do you really think something that big she'd do for free? no. Also...of course she got paid to be on Ugly Betty....guest stars always get paid and a nice sum too....

But my guess is she made about 12 million....and no I don't believe her agency took 4 million from her..

she didn't do the appearance for free...she was pad a big sum to appear...but he prize money went to the charity.
No I was saying to the person above a ways, that yea agencies take some but for her to make what she really makes (most likely 11-13 mil) and they rank her at 8 they would have to be saying her agent is taking 4 million for their salary...which is not true and unrealistic

I'm fed up of VS. (for all models). I have never understood the buzz around VS.
I think VS is quite vulgar and too much.

It's only been lately with the circus antics on the runway that the show's become, like you said, vulgar and barely having any relation to the fashion industry anymore.

I think before that, it had this air of exclusivity where only the best of the best were featured (Tyra, Naomi, Gisele, Karen Mulder, etc), so it was kind of a big deal to walk that runway.

LOL right especially now that VS is on a much classier route as far as lingerie especially goes its 'vulgar'. If a sleek and simple black bra and a lace panty is 'vulgar' then Im afraid to think whats not lol,funny. Another thing is that tastes differ and one can say, I dont like VS but to call it ALL the way you do is ... says a lot about yourself actually then VS.

Oh and by just having high profile fashion models modeling for VS catalogs and walking VSFS thus VS has not a 'barely fashion realted smth' but actually IS fashion related - alone due to models like Hilary, Caroline, Adriana, Doutzen, Candice and many more. Not even talking about 90ies supers.

I wonder if there will be more Givenchy ad images with Adriana for 2009-2010, I sure hope so ! Cant wait to see those in the mags. Thanks for updates, everyone.
