"My job is a part of my happiness. It's great to be a mom, but I missed my Victoria's Secret family. I've been working with them for over 10 years." With such a busy schedule, how do you carve out "me" time? "Right now, the 'me' time is when I take a shower. There is no time for tv, no time for movies, no time for reading." What kind of movies do you like? "I like epics, like The Age of Innocence and Dangerous Liaisons, dramas like Casablanca, and funny ones like Sunset Boulevard." How do you stay in such great shape? "I've been boxing for four years; it's challenging. Every day you learn something new. I really love it--it's my thing." Where do you train? "Aerospace, downtown on West 13th Street [in New York]. My trainer, Michael Olajide Jr., used to be a professional boxer in the '80s. He's an amazing trainer and person. He understands how the body works but he challenges my mind as well." What do you think about the fall runway message that the womanly silhouette is back? "I was at the Louis Vuitton [Fall 2010] show, and I was really happy to see beautiful girls with big curves. Everybody has a different type of body, and I think you should embrace who you are. It's not about if you're curvy or have a boyish frame, it's about how you feel in your own skin." What are some of your favourite pieces in your wardrobe? "Getting dressed is like a ritual for me. The first piece of clothing you put on is lingerie, and it's very important [in terms of] your confidence. I like the Victoria's Secret Incredible bra. It's comfortable, but you still feel sexy because it wraps around your body and follows your curves." What's your eveningwear style? "Something Sophia Loren-inspired--classic and sexy." What is one trend we will never see you wear? "One-shouldered dresses; I can't stand them." What's the least glamorous part of your life? "I don't think I have a least glamorous thing. Even waking up with bad hair is glamorous--it depends on the way you look at things." What are your go-to beauty products? "When I'm on a plane, I use Rodin Face Oil. For winter, there is a little glowing spray I use from Caudalie." When you're off-duty, do you prefer the natural look? "I like makeup--you'd be surprised. Bring on the red lipstick. I love VS Makeup Perfect Lipstick in 'Showstopper.'" What's one of the first things you do in the morning? "Kiss my husband." Favourite romantic getaway? "Somewhere on the beach. I love Croatia." Early bird or night owl? "Right now, with [my daughter] Valentina, I am a morning, afternoon and night person. Sleeping is a luxury--when she sleeps, that's when I sleep."
i love seeing these candids of her!
