yeah, never tought of it, but now that you say, they are like beautiful opposites They certainly don`t look excatly like each other, but they both have so beautiful features (hair ) in different colours.

Do you think it's from the same day the picture with Chanel was taken? Her hair looks darker in the commercial and she has highlights now, but maybe it's just that the highlights aren't showing on TV.

ps: and about Doutzen, I guess they are pushing her and Candice into the spotlight now, more than ever. Heidi will probably be gone by the end of the year, so they need some blondes to contrast with their many many brunettes.

The Doutzen and Adriana comparisons are spot on. It's the eyes and the full lips, imo. While I'm glad Adriana is back doing work for VS, I can't help but be disappointed by the new commercial. I remember the one with Adriana, Gisele, Heidi, Tyra, Oluchi, it's a classic and this one just falls short. There are too many nameless faces at VS now who lack the staying power, imo.

I agree, ALAUU. Doutzen and Adriana, while they looked gorgeous, just looked so out of place in the commercial to me because of the other girls who aren't as well known as them.

^DITTO! I think it would take years to get to that old VS level for the new girls and VS in general.
Was it just coincidence, idk, or was it just the fact that at that time, there were more "real supermodels", that made VS this timeless brand.
Another factor is the career span and bredth of the models nowadays. Back then, most girls already had HF careers and were a household name, so when you put them in VS it was like BOOM
Today, girls start their careers at VS and rely simply on it, to build a name. Don't like it

I so agree Vivaglam! I try not to hate on the other models too much but honestly - lindsay, erin, and chanel always look sooo out of place in these ads and the commercials especially. despite the fact that lindsay and chanel have had HF experience, they still seem ridiculous for the brand. I'm just glad that Adriana is back!

I agree. it's not just their HF backgrounds, it's the fact that they just don't really stand out. Chanel doesn't stand out like Tyra or Naomi did. They looked special.
And Lindsay & Erin IMO resemble each other too much to be both there.

I don't mind Lindsay and Erin (probably because they aren't being shoved down our throats) except for the fact that they look like the same person to me and even more so in a 15-second commercial. I don't think VS should ever use them at the same time or one of them has to change their hair color or something. Anyway, I just can't see Adriana doing any launches with Chanel, Lindsay, Erin, or even Candice or Rosie. They'll probably put her with Doutzen or by herself if Heidi isn't going to be around. I would love a Ale/Adriana launch though.
