You’re the official ambassador for the FIFA World Cup KIA campaign. How does that feel?
It’s so exciting to be partnering with KIA – together with KIA – to be ambassador of the World Cup. KIA has been partnering with FIFA since 2007. This is my second time doing the commercials with them. My first time was during 2012 for [the] “Driving the Dream” commercial, which aired during the Super Bowl. This year, we shot three different commercials in Los Angeles in three different places, and featuring the cars KIA Altima and KIA Sorrento. The commercials [are] going to be aired during this year’s FIFA World Cup tournament.
Do you have a favorite shooting location?
Well, I like all three. One is in a man cave [garage], one is in the football field, and the other one is in a bar. They are so different! And I think they’re going to be funny commercials. They’re really cool! I have to say maybe, like, the one that happens on the American football field. It’s going be my favorite commercial I think!
Okay and we hear that you’re very passionate about soccer. Did you play growing up?
Yes, I did play in school, and also my family has its local soccer team, which is Victoria. We cannot miss a match! You know? And [in] Brazil, we’re so passionate about soccer! Every Sunday, all afternoon it’s soccer games on TV, so everybody turns their heads to watch TV and soccer games. Now, with the World Cup going to Brazil, I’m very excited. I can’t wait to go watch my first match – soccer match – in my hometown. It’s exciting! I can’t wait. I just can’t wait.
I went here in Miami – for the first time ever – I went to watch a Brazil game here. It was a few months ago, and it wasn’t in my hometown. For the first time I went to the fields – in the fields where the soccer players play on the field. And I heard the fans singing the national anthem of Brazil from there, and it was the most amazing feeling ever. So I cannot imagine having that experience in my home country!
Yes, it’s exciting! What did you think of the song that Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull did for the World Cup this year?
Oh, I haven’t heard. What is the name of the song?
It’s called “We Are One (Ole Ola).”
Okay, I’m going to YouTube [it] now. Let’s see…
[Laughs] Awesome! So you’re involved with the Haiti Mom’s project, can you tell us a little bit more about your involvement with that?
Well, you know, I started being involved with Haiti – the first time I went there it was with Donna Karan for Urban Zen, and we shot their campaign in Haiti. I saw the children there, and I loved it – that place! And I’m like I have to go back again. So being a mom, I decided to visit Saint Damien’s hospital, and I had [the] opportunity to meet wonderful people from the foundation that give their full time and help so many people there in Haiti. They were truly inspirational! So I decided to get involved and help them out however I could.
That’s amazing!
It’s been like two or three years now that I’ve been involved them.
Now you know there are a lot of people that consider you to be one of the most beautiful women in the world. Can you share a bit about what your beauty routine entail?
Well, I do work out, but my children pretty much keep me in shape. You know, the most important thing is being healthy. Work out if you can, and be happy!
